A basic rule for fire protection was not considered: fire separation respectively adequate space separation. Also Standards not considered such as VdS, NFPA855 or FM. A bit strange how close dwellings are and that fire fighting seems not adequately address the way lithium batteries burn. BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) are booming everywhere. No problem as long as fire protection is well addressed considering process safety such as adequate BMS (Battery Management Systems), State-of-the-art intelligent battery monitoring systems such as those from ACCURE (a partner of HDI) and adequate active & passive fire protection plus adequate fire fighting. Is this a robbery? What is the purpose of the clothes mask? Rescue means that you have the resources and PPE to do the job without putting yourself or the victim in additional hazards, and without causing additional injuries to the victim. 1. The clothes mask is not a PPE for rescue purposes, and the procedure of evacuation of the victim is not practical in a real scenario. 3. If the scenario in the rescue practice is a collapsed structure (heartquake, structural failure of a house/building), the PPE should be a dust mask (plus globes, knee pads, safety googles, helmet, etc.), and I am pretty sure you will deal with irregular surfaces, tight spaces, debris in the floor, etc. and the evacuation media should be a rescue stretcher. 4. If the scenario is a fire rescue, you will deal with a real dynamic environment, and hot spots/burning ashes can be in the way, the PPE should be an SCBA (plus fireproof suit, helmet, etc.), and the more practical rescue media is (again) a rescue stretcher. 5. Pulling a rescue stretcher (like a sled) will be more convenient for the mobilization of the victim, can move back and forward, and the rescuer is keeping a peripherical view of the surrounding hazards.... 6. ETC.
