Save the date: Wednesday 6th December 2023, 7.30pm to 8.30pm Please join me for this free, online webinar in conjunction with The V Word where I will be discussing my experiences of investigating bullying, harassment and sexual offences for the last 26 years within the Service Police. I have conducted these investigations within the UK, abroad and during operational deployments, alongside Service Police from other countries as well as working with Home Office Police Forces within the UK. I have also engaged with many support agencies to assist me whilst I carried out my role. Investigations of this nature are far from routine and are as individual as the people involved, often fraught with emotion and preconceptions by those outside of the investigation. Where does your knowledge of how investigations run come from? First hand knowledge? Supported a friend or loved one? From reports in the media? Depictions within films and tv series? Sometimes the decisions made by those involved is driven by this very knowledge, which is not always accurate. Is there a timeline that a report must be made within? Is there a certain way a person should react to these offences? Can a Veteran report an incident long after leaving the Forces? Do you even have to make a Police report? What happens when a report is made? Why would the Service Police need to investigate and not the local Police Force? There are so many considerations to be made by the person who has experienced these incidents that it can become overwhelming. The aims of the webinars are to inform you of the processes and numerous options available to allow a person to make the right decision for them. Not everyone wants to go through an investigation but all do want to regain control of their lives in the way that is best at that time. Not intervening has consequences. "Alright, can you be held responsible for being a bystander in a situation you could have intervened? And with the US military, is it possible you could be held responsible? literally in court wise, judicial wise, responsible for the situation. Yes or no? Absolutely. Let me give you an example. Uh, let's just say a Marine on Okinawa, uh, gets charged with sexual assault and everybody gets locked down for six months. By the way, is that stuff happened? I've been doing this for 20 years. And unfortunately I've seen that one exact case happened multiple times. All right. So in that line of work, were they usually out alone? No, they weren't. Were they usually with a group? Of other Marines. How many did it take to have stopped that whole thing from happening? One. And people go, why are we all being locked down? Because the one made a bad mistake. That's not why you're being locked down is because the other 20 didn't stop the one. Honestly, that's usually what the case is. All right. So that's what we want to be. A judicial decision arising from bench-fixing and conspiratorial manipulation, even if legally sound in every aspect, is deemed reprehensible and unjust. Conversely, a decision devoid of undue influence and manipulation commands respect, even if it contains legal flaws. The call to action extends beyond civilian trials in military courts; it encompasses the entire military court framework. These courts must be bound by the principles of law, justice, and fundamental rights.

Dear Army National Guard and New York City Police Department, How is it possible that there seems to be no accountability or plan in place to address the Palestinian day of rage scheduled for tomorrow in New York City? What measures are being taken to ensure the safety and security of the city's residents in the face of potential unrest and violence? It is imperative that proactive steps are taken to prevent any potential escalation of tensions and protect the well-being of all individuals in the area. Failure to address and prepare for such a significant event is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the ability of local authorities to effectively handle potential threats to public safety. Immediate action and transparency are needed to address this critical issue.
