June 28 is my birthday I celebrated with my kids and grand kids. Reading this makes me realize how lucky I have been. I thank you for your post that brings a new and vivid look at your sons service. I hope you continue this post yearly.

He was on the volunteer mission to rescue the four man seal team in Kunar province, Operation Red Wings, he was in the helo that got shot down, no survivors, RIP Shane E. Patton.
