CASH IS KING Worldwide, governments, banks and some retailers, are trying to make us a cashless society. We must ensure, that never happens. We have an obligation to ourselves, our children and grandchildren to make sure it doesn't happen. Everyone must play their part, even if it is just withdrawing cash from the bank as often as possible and purchasing our daily food requirements with cash, not a card, and going through a cash register to pay for our purchases, not using a card, or using a machine to pay for it. These undertakings may seem small and insignificant on an individual basis, but when done often, and in unity with many others, they have a huge impact, and governments, banks, retailers, do take notice, as it can adversely affect their business, or ability to govern, or stay in government. From small beginnings, our cause is growing stronger every day. This cashless society issue, has played on my mind for some time, My inner being has to express what I am feeling. I have to get it up and out and usually the best way for me to do this, is in the form of a song, hence the writing of the song "CASH IS KING" If you like this song, please like, subscribe, and share it as far and wide as you can, by doing so you really help the Cash is King, cause. We want cash to always remain our national currency, our number one legal tender "CASH IS KING" Written by Peter McDonald, Performed by Nick Russ

CEO at Loica Labs | Led the turnaround of Conister Bank | Mentor at UDD Ventures and Emerge Lab | London and Santiago
Most founders don't have domain expertise. As Rowland Hill put it in 1837: ‘It should be remembered, that in few departments have important reforms been effected by those trained up in practical familiarity with their details. The men to detect blemishes and defects are among those who have not, by long familiarity, been made insensible to them.’ Hill was a former schoolmaster, whose only experience of the Post Office was as a disgruntled user. Nobody had asked him to come up with a detailed proposal for completely revamping it. He did the research in his spare time, wrote up his analysis, and sent it off privately to the British finance minister, the Chancellor of the Exchequer. Like many innovative ideas, it was initially ignored. He proposed the concept of Uniform Penny Post, which meant that anyone could send a letter anywhere in the country for a fixed rate of one penny, regardless of the distance or weight. He also introduced the idea of pre-payment, which was facilitated by the invention of the postage stamp. The first postage stamp, the Penny Black, was issued in 1840 and featured the profile of Queen Victoria. Hill’s reforms revolutionized the postal service and made it accessible, affordable, and efficient for everyone. Before his reforms, sending letters was expensive, complicated, and unreliable. The cost of postage was based on the distance and weight of the letter, and it was usually paid by the recipient, not the sender. This meant that many people could not afford to send or receive letters, especially the poor and those living in remote areas. The postal system was also plagued by corruption, fraud, and delays. Hill’s reforms had a huge impact on society and economy. They stimulated literacy, communication, trade, commerce, education, journalism, and democracy. They also inspired other countries to adopt similar postal systems and stamps. Hill is widely regarded as the father of the modern postal service and one of the most influential figures in British history. #businessmodelinnovation #innovationmanagement #nocode
