“Every day I needed to log on 5 different portals, with 5 different passwords to read, interpret and analyse 5 different ways of displaying CIEDs data and alerts.” “I wanted to offer the best healthcare to my patients and be excellent in my mission as an electrophysiologist, but my Remote Monitoring tools were outdated. I faced daily IT and data processing issues which made RM practice very complex. Also, no Remote Monitoring billing system was available and billing for patient follow-up was a manual and an extremely tedious process”, Dr. Arnaud Rosier, CEO and founder of Implicity. With one portal and one password, IMPLICITY addresses the pain points, transforming the landscape of cardiovascular patient care. We want to highlight the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in revolutionizing the early detection of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) and Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes (SADS). While this technology is still in development, we firmly believe that AI-assisted early detection could play a significant role in identifying warning signs and risk factors, enabling proactive intervention and ultimately saving lives. SCA can occur without warning, affecting individuals of all ages, even those with no known heart disease. Recognizing the signs of SCA and SADS is crucial for swift action and improved outcomes. The hope is that AI-driven approaches could analyze various data points, including medical histories, lifestyle factors, and real-time monitoring, to create personalized risk assessments and early warning systems. As we anticipate the advancements in AI-assisted early detection, we also recognize the importance of raising awareness and empowering individuals to take action. Here's how you can make a difference: 1. Learn CPR and how to use an AED 2. Familiarize yourself with the signs of SCA and SADS and share this knowledge with your network 3. Support organizations like the Canadian SADS Foundation in their mission to promote awareness, research, and support for affected families. Join us in spreading awareness and supporting the fight against Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Together, we can make a lasting difference and save countless lives. #SuddenCardiacArrest #SADS #HeartHealth #AI #EarlyDetection

This has been an incredible period of clinical results at Eko Health. More is happening than I have ever seen, led by intrepid researchers over years both at Eko and at notable institutions around the world. A brief tour of four different efforts: 🔺 Published in the Journal of the American Heart Association: On thousands of heart sounds collected in Missouri and Ontario, Eko's FDA-cleared structural heart disease algorithm exceeded the performance of clinicians (even when the clinicians were given a better-than-normal environment to listen to heart sounds), was consistent across severity levels of structural heart disease, and performed at 93%+ sensitivity levels across three common valvular lesions. “We foresee that these algorithms will improve the screening for SHD, ultimately improving health outcomes and reducing the overall cost of care.” https://lnkd.in/eUKE_RgH 🔺 Published in Circulation: An MGH-led real-world performance study of our structural heart disease algorithm, testing it in a population of 369 patients age 50+ in a primary care setting, showed over 2x improvement in the detection sensitivity of valvular heart disease associated with a murmur: For every 100 instances of audible VHD, clinicians identified 41 of them, while the AI identified 94 of them (!). “When applied in a primary care setting, a digital stethoscope with structural murmur detection AI showed meaningful impact on new discovery of VHD as compared to conventional practice. These results suggest that AI-powered auscultation at the point of care may significantly increase earlier VHD discovery, facilitate appropriate patient care, and improve outcomes.” https://lnkd.in/e5gkysWY 🔺 Presented at AHA Scientific Sessions: In a study in Nigeria led by Mayo Clinic researchers, Eko’s investigational algorithm was able to screen for and detect double the number of peripartum cardiomyopathy cases, versus ordinary care. “In pregnant and postpartum women, AI-guided screening improves the diagnosis of pregnancy related cardiomyopathy, a potentially life-threatening and treatable condition.” https://lnkd.in/ewavEZNe 🔺 Launched in the UK: Researchers at Imperial College London will deploy Eko technology to 100 general practitioner practices to screen for reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (HFrEF) indicative of heart failure, structural murmurs indicative of valvular heart disease, and atrial fibrillation. “Implementing this tool in primary care could save the health payer system £2,400 per patient, eliminating the potential need for an emergency room visit.” https://lnkd.in/eUu8iY_U

A recent Medscape study revealed the remarkable potential of AI-powered stethoscopes in detecting valvular heart disease (VHD). With a sensitivity of 94.1%, these AI-enabled devices outperformed traditional stethoscopes used by primary care physicians, which had a sensitivity of only 41.2% in identifying audible VHD. This substantial difference stems from the inherent subjectivity of traditional auscultation. Subtle variations in heart sounds can be missed due to reliance on acoustics alone. AI-powered stethoscopes address this very challenge. They transcend the limitations of traditional stethoscopes by transforming crucial heart sounds into phonocardiogram (PCG) signals. These PCG signals provide a wealth of objective data, revealing subtle variations that may indicate early signs of cardiac pathologies. This is precisely how Ai Health Highway’s AiSteth assists you to #seethesound, facilitating a more data-driven approach to CVD diagnosis. AiSteth goes beyond basic recording. It allows you to record, store, and share audio-visual data with colleagues, facilitating collaboration. Ready to complement your expertise in cardiovascular care with AI?
