🌿 Beware of Greenwashing! 🌿 In today’s eco-conscious market, it's more important than ever to stay informed about the products we choose. 🛍️ Greenwashing—the practice of making an untrue or misleading claim about the environmental benefits of a product, service, or company—misleads consumers who prefer to support genuine sustainable efforts. 🚫🌱 Let's be conscious consumers and hold companies accountable for their environmental impact. Share this message to spread awareness and encourage others to make informed choices. 💪🌍 Thanks to Ms.Yashashvi, for creating this video as a part of her Internship Assignment #EcoFriendly #SustainableLiving #GreenwashingAwareness

Forth EMS Employee Spotlight: Meet Korkwan, our ESG summer intern! Welcome to our Employee Spotlight, a series of conversations with the people creating the diverse and innovative culture at Forth EMS. This week, we will be checking in with Korkwan Laoasoke, a 2nd year student at Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation, who is helping us initiate authentic ESG efforts. Forth EMS: What made you consider Forth EMS as a place to work? Korkwan: I am passionate about making a positive impact on society, and engaging in ESG initiatives allows me to do so effectively by utilizing my skills and abilities. Forth EMS is an influential company with a significant footprint which makes it a strong vehicle for driving positive change. The foundational way of work that Forth EMS has built, along with our priority on our ESG efforts, convinced me of the potential for me to contribute, even as a summer intern. Forth EMS: What’s one thing you learned in school that you’re now using on the job? Korkwan: One valuable lesson I am now applying on the job is the concept of “transdisciplinarity." Through my education, I learned about how different disciplines can collaborate and integrate their knowledge and expertise to address complex challenges. This transdisciplinary mindset helped me bridge the gaps between various departments and stakeholders involved in ESG initiatives. By delving into a wide range of sources, conducting thorough research, carefully observing, and looking at industry trends and best practices, this mindset allows me to craft an effective ESG framework that addresses the unique needs and goals of our organization while maintaining a holistic point of view of the company’s operations. Forth EMS: What was one stand out moment in your time with us so far? Korkwan: One standout moment during my time here was when I first ate at the company’s canteen which provided lunch at very affordable prices. I was amazed, which became appreciation when I learned that the food is subsidized and that it is part of the company’s efforts to provide for employee’s well-being at work. To me, this demonstrated the care and consideration for all employees, in ways beyond expectations of a normal workplace. #forthems #employeespotlight #spotlightseries #thailand #ems #innovation #diversity #culture #customerfocused #career #opportunity

The Quiz on Sustainability. 🍃 At Elite Modern Apprenticeships Scotland, we are enthusiastic about promoting sustainability in various ways within our workplace. According to a 2022 survey of 850 companies globally, 80% expressed their intentions to increase investments in sustainability. However, were you aware that even the tiniest adjustments can enhance your sustainability? 🤝 It's not just about installing solar panels on your property or transitioning your entire fleet of business vehicles to all-electric. Improving sustainability starts with straightforward choices like recycling your can of Irn-Bru, or switching off the plugs at the wall when they're not in use. By implementing even the most minor changes and demonstrating a commitment to sustainability, you can reduce your carbon footprint and decrease the release of harmful toxins into the environment, thus playing your part in creating a safer world for future generations! 🌍 So, join us and take part in our quiz on sustainability. Don't forget to share your score out of 4 in the comments section. 🏁 #elitemascotland #sustainability

Leading companies recognize that cleaning up their internal operations is not enough; for change at a global scale, they must influence entire industries to shift toward more responsible practices. But since change at this scale is slow and complex, how do you track if and by how much your organization is influencing the conversation and effecting change? Could it be possible to assign hard numbers to such an abstract concept? WWF intern Amanda Zhu shares their experience quantifying influence: https://lnkd.in/eue7WtSK

Carbon footprint calculation is an excellent management tool and an easy first step to ensure future operational sustainability. 👉🏼 Conducting scope 1-3 carbon footprint calculations based on the GHG Protocol is a daily task for our team, and the results are utilized to achieve climate goals, minimize operational costs, and secure future operational viability. 👉🏼 Currently, our team's intern, Iida Sinisalo, is starting her thesis work, which examines current practices of companies in utilizing these calculations as well as opportunities to utilize the data more effectively. 💡 Feel free to reach out to me if you would like to participate in Iida's thesis work and gain insights into potential opportunities for improving your own practices!
