Congratulations to our cofounders, Rebecca Oppenheim and Gail Tiburzi Buck for being named two of Entrepreneur Media's 100 Women of Influence in 2022, specifically as leaders who are influencing our equity and access. When Rebecca and Gail started nextOPP Search they were inspired by for-profit companies using business as a force for good. Companies with innovative business models tackling complex social, economic, and environmental issues. Companies that prove you can still thrive with a double bottom line - answering to profit AND purpose. To now be on a list alongside the women leading some of these companies is a surreal moment for both of them. Women like Sallie Krawcheck (Ellevest), Rachel Romer (Guild Education), Deborah Liu (Ancestry), Heather Hasson & Trina Spear (FIGS), Emma Grede (GOOD AMERICAN), Caitlin Donovan (Uber Health), Julia Hartz (Eventbrite), Desiree Perez (Roc Nation), Asima Ahmad, MD, & Tammy Sun (Carrot Fertility), and Shadiah Sigala (Kinside), just to name a few. Our #HireOneHelpOne program was built after learning that 99% of domestic violence cases involve financial abuse - damaging someone’s credit, cutting off access to bank accounts and cash, even limiting their ability to work or ensuring they’re fired. So nextOPP became the first ever one-for-one business in service - inspired by successful companies who did it in the CPG space like TOMS and Bombas. For every candidate hired through our for-profit recruiting services, we donate career coaching to a survivor of domestic violence who is working towards financial independence. We are just getting started at nextOPP Search, and are excited for what the future holds. Thank you to Entrepreneur Media for highlighting the work of our cofounders!
