Started the Dryer last Sunday morning only to realize *click click* it won’t turn on 🤔…. Hmmmm…the fridge works, but the oven and microwave don’t….the TV works but the heat doesn’t 🤷🏽♀️ What a fun real life escape room adventure, several family troubleshooting hours and then a work order to #Dominion later to discover half of our house was without electricity. Never heard of that before 😂. We were planning on doing taxes but c’est la vie instead we are having a full day power adventure 💫 As the sun began to set 🌅, I saw high fives outside and smiles and I knew…. They found the problem! Hooray! Huge shoutout and many thanks and gratitude to #Dominion for coming out so quickly and working hard on a Sunday to get our heat, oven & microwave back on 😁 Staying Flexible & Adaptable in the face of change to your day is important and provides a chill factor to everyone around you manifesting the best outcomes possible. 😡 Somedays, you get tested to the max! Today, leaving the gym at about 8:30 am, was one of those days. 🧘 It’s the lack of respect for “my stuff” that really got to me this morning. I had to remind myself, be like Bush: breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out, breathe in! 😎 Don’t let other people's lack of respect make you blow a gasket. Breathe…you don’t know what they’re dealing with…breathe…stop thinking about it, let it go…go home, you just had a great workout…breathe…Don’t let others’ actions control your actions…breathe. 📖 For those still interested and reading, I was partly at fault and over the rear yellow line a hair... 😤 This morning, an employee from a neighboring business of my gym was very confrontational with their parking skills and then left a company warning letter under my windshield wiper, stating that I’ll be towed if I park in their employee area two more times. So do I have two more "free parking" and towed on the 4th, or only one more day of "employee parking" and towed on the 3rd? 🅿️ Let me also state, this wasn’t a front spot for either business, and there wasn’t a big sign on the lawn or on the fence that this is the employee of the month parking space. I have a big van (like the amazon van) vanlife, so I always park way in the back. Is it just me or are parking spaces getting smaller? 🙏 One, thanks for not towing me—I’m definitely not in Philly right now. Ha. Two, sorry for being completely oblivious to the signs on the random light posts. And three, thank you for helping me work on controlling my feelings/emotions. 💭 In the end, this was a valuable reminder to stay calm and composed! You can’t control what others do! Of course, theres always gonna be the gurus telling you that you can't every drink a pint again or else you're gonna gain 5kg of fat and lose all your muscle. But you don't have to listen to them. And that's not how we do things at JMFC. Why? Because I'm a human too and I still indulge in the fruits of life. The key comes with moderation and having solid strategies and routines in place to allow us to still make progress and not ruin it through overconsumption. It's all about the 80/20 balance. As you can see in this post, my client Tom is regularly using the strategies I have taught him to make these small but impactful modifications which lead to big results. Tom is managing to drop between 1-2lbs per week without sacrificing absolutely everything in his life. Overexertion can occur from repetitive motion, one-time strenuous actions, or lengthy exposure to certain conditions such as extreme temperatures. Keeping your body healthy with regular exercise, nutritious foods, and hydration can help raise your threshold for exertion, but there are also steps you need to take on the job to lower the risk of overexertion injuries. • Stretch regularly – at the beginning of the day and throughout the day. • Use proper lifting techniques (e.g. lifting with your knees instead of your back). • It’s best to do your work between elbow and shoulder level, so avoid reaching to lift objects overhead. • Use ergonomically designed tools and equipment that are the correct tools for the job you are doing. • Adjust workbenches and other areas to minimize the need to twist, bend, and reach. • Alternate tasks to limit repetitive motions.
