Yesterday marked a milestone moment as Nurasa unveiled its groundbreaking Food Tech Innovation Centre (FTIC), where our Nourish Ingredients team proudly operates our #Singapore Product Development Centre. For the launch, we teamed up with CREMER Sustainable Foods to present a mouthwatering plant-based chicken satay skewer. Infused with #Tastilux, our signature meaty ingredient, we imparted an authentic meaty, juicy flavour and aroma, leaving guests wanting more! With the Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat in attendance. Innovation in the 90's: The beginning of the Nordic venture on Food security! Food is an essential part of life. It is a major contributor to health and well-being, culture, trade and economic development. It has major innovation potential. That is the reason why Nordisk Industrifond (now Nordic Innovation) decided to focus on this topic in the 90s, through the NorFood program. The NorFood program reached beyond the Nordics, and the project model was adopted on an EU scale in the beginning of the 2000's. Although the project ended in the 00's, the production methods and insight from many of the projects are still in use today. 🎉 We were buzzed to attend the official opening of the Food Tech Innovation Centre (FTIC) in Singapore, where our partner Nourish Ingredients showcased their cutting-edge innovations in plant-based fats. 🌱 Launched by Nurasa, a Temasek-owned company driving sustainable nutrition in Asia, the FTIC is a food innovator’s dream, with state-of-the-art labs and advanced tech for precision fermentation and food processing. 💡 The event was attended by Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat, who delivered the keynote address, emphasising the urgency of building global food resilience and meeting future food needs. Media and industry partners got to sample some seriously delicious plant-based chicken satay, jazzed up with Nourish Ingredients' game-changing animal-free fat, Tastilux! Derived from nature and scaled through precision fermentation, Tastilux left attendees in awe of its potential in making plant-based foods more flavourful. 🇸🇬 The FTIC's launch marks a major milestone in Singapore's journey towards a sustainable food future. The Protein Community (TPC) joined forces with Oost NL, GO4EXPORT, and Topsector Agri & Food to present a booth at Food ingredients Europe in Frankfurt, under the banner of Future Protein NL. Featuring 12 partners from The Protein Community, the booth served as a global stage to showcase innovative green protein solutions and to enhance international business connections. The united front of 12 companies in the Dutch Pavillion underscored the strength of collaboration and the need to shape the future of food together. A participating company quoted: "FiE is an enormous event. So many Dutch companies join independently but their participation gets diluted and goes unnoticed. Being present with 12 companies under the banner of the Protein Community has amplified the impact of our common message: Plant-based transition is not an idea, its a fact!"
