I was initially excited to discover this list for insight in evaluating 1000's of digital health companies around the world, as it comes from a reputable source(s) with thorough analysis - yet it wasn't as satisfying as I imagined. 🚀 Revolutionizing Healthcare: The Digital Vanguard In an era where technology and health intertwine more than ever, Newsweek has spotlighted the trailblazers of the digital health industry. Their 2024 ranking unveils the innovators shaping our future well-being. Newsweek in partnership with Statista launched the inaugural ranking of the World’s Best Digital Health Companies. -The list features 400 companies from 35 countries, covering seven industry segments. - Segments include #diagnostics, #healthrecords, #medicalmanagement, and #telehealth - Companies were evaluated based on financial performance, website and app traffic data, and product/service impact Additional insights were provided by #Holon IQ focusing on each company’s leadership expertise. The classification aimed to help patients and providers navigate the burgeoning $275 billion digital health market.

What is “evidence generation” in digital health? In digital health, “evidence generation” is a broad term, covering a wide range of activities that create different types of evidence supporting the use of a digital solution. Various kinds of evidence can be produced at any stage in the life of a new digital product or service. However, certain kinds are strongly associated with success at specific steps in the journey to adoption and positive impact. For example, from the earliest stages of creating a new solution, product development can be informed by the insights generated through: 📚 Secondary research (reviewing the literature to better understand a problem); 📋 User research (validating the concept for a solution); or 📲 A/B testing (comparing different features or versions of a potential solution). Later on, with a more developed solution, depending on the use case, developers may need to produce clinical data demonstrating the safety and technical performance of a solution, as well as meet other standards (e.g. data security), in order to obtain regulatory approval, enabling market access. At this point, developers must demonstrate the value of their solution to potential customers in order to sell their product. The areas in which value must be shown depend on the use case. For example: 🏥 If a solution has a clinical use case, data showing a positive impact on clinical outcomes may be important. 📈 In other cases, showing improvements in operational efficiency may be crucial. 💰 In almost all cases, economic analyses demonstrating value for money are also critical to persuade customers to buy a solution.
