The planet has faced a number of challenges, including climate change and biodiversity loss. Have you ever wondered how it has been able to survive and thrive despite these changes? 🤔 As expressed in the Ellen MacArthur Foundation article, humanity lives in an ever-growing list of environmental pressures, pushing a set of “planetary boundaries that define the biophysical limits of a stable planet”, however, alternatives like circular economy are a way forward where our planet and businesses can be healthy and resilient 🌱🌍 At Sora Union, we provide our teammates, many of whom are displaced or will be displaced due to climate change or conflict, with economic stability in order to access a safe and secure environment. We are proud of our resilient teammates who, just like our planet, are capable of overcoming adversity. 🤲 Through our services, we're able to bring this resilience from our teammates to your business. Drop us a message and let’s work together to ensure a better future! 🙌 #ClimateChange #Resilience #PlanetaryBoundaries #CircularEconomy #SoraUnion https://lnkd.in/dDb-zbmq

It's happening!! Diversity is not a metric. Do it. Be it, or don't report it. Supplychain due diligence is not about fake metrics and donations. Sustainability is not just about verifiable metrics. Do it. Be it, or don't report it. Proost to the EU Commission! https://lnkd.in/eaX-UJhm

Happy Earth Day 🌍☀️ Recently, I got the chance to make a small difference by donating to 5 trees via Tree-Nation. Yes, A few trees will not make a dent, reduction or offset in the ongoing complex problem of Climate change, but all small steps count towards a greener, cleaner world. As my feed is filled today of people and companies celebrating #Earthday through many different positive initiatives, I was curious to know.... What are you doing for #Earthday? #CSR #Plantingtrees #Sustainability #ESG

As #COP28 unfolds, the imperative link between #climatechange and access to #safesanitation becomes increasingly evident. Did you know that access to #safesanitation has the potential to significantly reduce #GHG emissions by 3-4%. At Fresh Life, we're actively contributing to this reduction through our climate-smart #sanitationsolutions. From containment to responsible waste management practices, each step toward #safesanitation is a step towards a greener and more sustainable planet. Help us make a tangible impact. Be a part of the #SanitationEqualsClimateAction and #sustainabledevelopment narrative by #donating here. I just joined Team for the Planet 🌍 a non-profit company raising €1 billion to create 100 companies that will address climate change 🔥 🌏. Why? Because we are the last generation able to act and avoid the worst. How? By detecting and financing innovations focused on reducing or capturing GHG emissions. Our companies will apply the open-source principle so everyone can copy our innovations. When? Now! What will I get in return? Less CO₂ emissions and a better future for our planet. #teamfortheplanet #climatechange

Philanthropy is a big bucket word that includes an enormous community of institutions and people making decisions about how to deploy resources. In regards to climate change, let there be more philanthropy decision makers who move more of their portfolio into risk and seed funding to spur innovation and change. Let them do it with speed. The speed of decision making is, after all, in the hands of the decision makers. Climate change waits for no rubber stamper.
The biggest #philanthropy pledges from #cop28 bring more attention and financing to health, food systems, ocean, and emissions work via Stephanie Beasley and Devex . While philanthropy can’t fill the gap to address climate change on its own, it can provide seed funding or risk capital to encourage investments from public and private sectors https://lnkd.in/e6jMQYhb

We run engaging and interactive workshops on sustainability + team dynamics | Co-Founder @Sustainable Pathways 🌎
What’s one climate action you can do by next Friday? 🎯 Yesterday I ran a sustainability workshop with Ski New Milns (the UKs only charity run ski slope 🙌🙌). Throughout the day the team were thinking and talking about: 🔥Climate emergency 🙌 Taking radical responsibility and staying above the line 🌎 Exploring key questions from the future-fit benchmark I concluded the session with “what’s one thing you can do by next Friday?” This was inspired by Aaron Dignans book “Brave New Work” Doing this left the team with 4 clear and tangible actions they could take. Often times talking high level, big ideas and long-term changes can leave you feeling overwhelmed. So knowing exactly what you’re going to do by next Friday can leave you in an empowered place. Well, at least I think so, Britt and Rebecca can confirm 😂 So, what’s one climate action you can do by next Friday? Mines is to run my 3rd 5k (ish) wearing my burn carbon not calories t-shirt! Also. The clear highlight of the day was going tubing with the team afterwards 👇 #climateaction #sustainability #workshop
