This development is particularly good for my FMCG brand marketing candidates, as it opens up exciting avenues to explore new opportunities with Nikkei companies. It transcends departments, from R&D to sales, with as few as 3 and up to 20 members in vibrant discussions that break the mold of traditional meetings. 🚗💡 𝗪𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮'𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘀 1. Equality. Everyone's on level ground, whether intern or executive. All can express ideas without fear. 2. Every idea is scrutinized and debated until everyone accepts or rejects, ensuring robust solutions. 3. Ideas shared will belong to Honda, and are for all in the group to work on and execute, propelling Honda forward. 4. Meetings end with clear tasks and deadlines. WHO to do WHAT, by WHEN? In Japan, koi are called "Nishikigoi", which means "swimming jewel" - such is their beauty and collectability. They can be hugely expensive - but are equally sort after by collectors. The top collectors understand all-round koi care. Whilst collectors recognise that finding the right koi is part of a successful collection, more effort, energy and investment is put into the koi's environment. Without that environmental investment, the koi's natural beauty - its colours, size and vibrancy - won't shine. Neither will it flourish if we take it out of that environment, clean it and lavish attention, then return it to the same environment. The same is true of our people. Taking them away from the environment for the best leadership development, sales training, etc. without investing in that environment can reduce the impact of that training. In the spirit of celebration of Malaysia Independence Day, or better known as Merdeka Day (31 August), let's take a look at how much Malaysia has achieved this year. My key observations are: 👍 China's Geely’s $10 million plan to expand its operations in Tanjong Malim Perak 👍 German chipmaker Infineon Technologies’ $5.46 billion expansion of its water fabrication plant in Kulim Kedah 👍 Tesla's ground breaking move to set up regional HQ in Malaysia 👍 UK government data also shown that Malaysia FDI into the UK is 2.4 billion in 2021, an increase of 57.2% or £858 million from 2020. 👍 In July this year, Nasdaq ranked Malaysia best place in Asia to retire. Personally, I have the opportunity to meet with several Malaysian enterprises that are seeking expansion globally recently. I must say, these entrepreneurs truly impressed me.
