This holistic approach ensures that you become a well-rounded and versatile golfer. 2. Personalized Challenges and Goal Setting: Take control of your golf journey by setting personalized challenges and goals with a home golf net. This personalized approach fosters a sense of accomplishment and progression. 3. Mental Toughness and Focus Improvement: Golf is as much a mental game as it is physical. A home golf net provides an environment where you can cultivate mental toughness and enhance your focus. By blocking out external distractions and honing in on your swings, you'll develop the mental resilience required to navigate the challenges of the golf course with confidence. 4. Simulation of Real-Game Scenarios: Modern home golf nets are designed to simulate real-game scenarios. This means you can practice under conditions that closely mimic those you'll encounter on the golf course. Confidence Building and Performance Enhancement: Consistent practice with a home golf net builds confidence. This increased confidence translates into enhanced performance, enabling you to approach each shot with assurance and poise. Conclusion: The transformative power of a home golf net goes beyond just honing your swings. It's a catalyst for holistic skill development, personalized challenges, mental toughness, realistic scenario simulation, and confidence building. The Boston Celtics won their 18th championship (most of any team) a few weeks ago and now the team is being offered for sale. Timing is everything! If your considering a sale of your business or cash flow property you have to plan for success. Focus on reducing costs and increasing revenue well in advance. Positive trend lines are critical to the valuation. For landlords rents may be difficult to increase due to government regulations. Finding efficiencies and reducing expenses will impact the ultimate selling price as much as increasing rents. Sweat the small stuff. $1 saved/earned at a 5% CAP Rate = $25 in increased value.

"The Boys in the Boat" by Daniel James Brown was just made into a movie that tells the true story of the University of Washington's eight-oar crew and their quest for gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. We really enjoyed the story. Whether you read the book or see the movie, the story offers some great lessons that apply to all of us. Here are several that come immediately to mind: 1. Teamwork and Unity: The story conveys how individual strengths— when unified towards a common goal —can lead to extraordinary, unexpected achievements. To be successful, the crew members had to synchronize not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally. 2. Resilience in the Face of Adversity: The team members came from diverse backgrounds, many facing economic hardships during the Great Depression. These weren’t privileged athletes; they were sons of loggers, shipyard workers, farmers. 3. The Power of Dedication and Hard Work: Their success was not just a result of talent, but also of relentless practice, dedication, and commitment to their sport. It’s a lesson in the value of hard work and determination that seems almost quaint in today’s world that craves instant-gratification. 4. Overcoming Socio-Economic Barriers: The story shows how sports can be a leveler of social and economic differences, providing opportunities to excel based on skill and effort rather than background. In that boat, it didn’t matter how much money your family had. The water was the great equalizer. 5. Leadership and Guidance: The role of their coach, Al Ulbrickson, and boat builder, George Pocock—their leadership, mentorship, and wisdom—were crucial in guiding the team to victory. These great coaches weren’t just teaching them how to row; they were teaching them how to be winners. 6. The Importance of Belief: Belief in oneself, the team, and the possibility of achieving the impossible. How confidence can drive people to exceed their perceived or self-imposed limits. 7. Historical Insight: “The Boys in the Boat” isn’t just a sports story. It’s a window into the 1930s, the Great Depression, the looming shadows of Nazi Germany at the Berlin Olympics. It’s a vivid reminder of where we’ve been, as a nation and as a people. It’s also a story of unity, resilience, hard work, equality, leadership, belief, and the enduring spirit requiredy to overcome all challenges—no matter how seemingly insurmountable. So, go see “The Boys in the Boat” over the holidays. It’s showing in theaters now, and I’d recommend it to all—especially families. And while you’re watching it, think about these lessons. When you walk out of the theater, you may just see it as a reminder that our lives are ultimately all about the journey and the people we meet along the way. https://lnkd.in/e_PAZ6qf #Teamwork, #Resilience, #Dedication, #Equality, #Leadership, #Belief, #History, #movies #stories, #USA250 #BoysintheBoat, #Olympics

Lover of cities. Architect. Urban designer. Real estate developer. Fintech pioneer. Urban change agent.
Good morning! I love to hurkle-durkle. Wait. What? Sometimes (or frequently) I enjoy a cup of coffee with my morning emails in bed. I guiltily thought I was all alone until the New York Times reminded me that when it's icy cold and dark outside, it's not unreasonable to enjoy extra minutes in my very cosy bed. It's restorative. In fact, the Scots gave this activity a name way back in the 1800s. "To hurkle-durkle is to lie in bed or lounge about when one should be up and about" they said. I feel vindicated. Truth be told it might not even be icy cold and dark outside when I choose to hurkle-durkle. With Atlas. It makes him very happy. In other news, an olympic equestrian (who wasn't having a lie down) rode a horse in a mankini and caused a furor as only an olympian, or a man in a mankini, can. My fellow Aussies love him, and this is why I miss Australia a tad. By the way, I read this while hurkle-durkling. ------------------------------ 👋 I’m Eve 🌇 In love with cities. 🚀 Disrupting the status quo at SmallChange(dot)co 🎧 Rethinking real estate. For good. When Passion Ruled the Court: A Look Back at the NBA's Golden Era 🏀 There was a time when NBA legends were defined not just by their skills, but by their unyielding heart. Think of Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and especially Allen Iverson. Remember the 2001 NBA Finals? Iverson, draped in hockey pads, went toe-to-toe with giants. Despite facing Shaquille O'Neal, he fearlessly charged into the lane, repeatedly enduring falls only to get back up and do it all over again. It wasn’t just a game; it was a testament to his spirit. 🏆 Fast forward to today, and the landscape feels dramatically different. The focus seems to have shifted towards endorsements, social media presence, and the easiest path to a championship ring. This isn't just about the game evolving; it's about what we value. The courage to stand up after being knocked down seems rare, replaced by a chase for fame and quick rewards. This change isn’t confined to sports. It mirrors a larger shift in our societal values, where the path of least resistance is often the most appealing. Effort, resilience, and personal accountability appear to be in short supply, not just on the court but in our daily lives and workplaces. 🔄 What’s your take on this shift? How do we inspire the next generation to value resilience and hard work over easy gains? https://lnkd.in/gpkESspn
