In this update, I share with you the Summer Season News of our dedicated internal IT professionals across the globe, from Brazil via Germany and Switzerland to the bustling tech hubs in India… What happened the last 6 weeks? 🥂 170+ working anniversaries were celebrated. 💪 Tons of calories were burned by joining SportsDays, Company Runs, Walking competitions and Cricket tournaments. 🤝New team building initiatives got implemented and brought people together. 📌 Exciting new roles to hire came up, f.e. a Lead Security Architecture role in Ravi Bindras team, a Business Engineering role in William Westendorps team or a (Senior) CRM Development role in Daniel Durrers team. 🚀 The plannings for 2024 started - technically as well as personnel… 🎮 Gamescom job fair plannings are finalized now and I can`t wait to meet you in Cologne next week. Often employers tell us they struggle to find young people to fill their roles. And in 2023 only 13% of young people told us that they felt confident that they could find a good job where they live. It will be interesting to see how this figure has changed as we analyse this years #YouthVoiceCensus We talk to lots of employers about this disconnect. Sometimes it is down to how cluttered the job market is, perceptions of the role/company or long held stereotypes, the role description and candidate expectations and many other factors. We are now of course facing rising economic inactivity challenges and have NEET rates at the highest levels in more than a decade, all contributing to workforce development challenges. Youth Employment UK is able to provide our Members with lots of different insight, strategies and case studies from other Members to help navigate these issues. But our recruitment platform can also help, we know that being in the places young people are looking for work can be a challenge.
