The Boundary Commission for England has published its final recommendations for the new Parliamentary constituency boundaries. The changes will take effect at the next parliamentary election which will be held no later than 28 January 2025 The Parliamentary constituency you live in, relates to which MP represents you in Parliament. Although there will be some changes to the Runnymede and Weybridge constituency, all Runnymede residents will remain residents of Runnymede Borough, and of Surrey County. Following the parliamentary change, the wards of Virginia Water, Englefield Green East and Englefield Green West will become part of the Windsor Parliamentary Constituency. Residents of these wards will be represented by the MP for Windsor, rather than the MP for Runnymede and Weybridge. All services provided by Runnymede Borough Council and Surrey County Council will remain the same. The final recommendations can be viewed on the Commission’s website at https://lnkd.in/ewSvBgX8 You can view a detailed map here: https://lnkd.in/eigvhPBW #Runnymede #Surrey #surreylife #generalelection

The House of Representatives is facing a crisis as they are unable to elect a new speaker, causing concerns for the funding of the federal government. Despite two nominations being made, no candidate has been able to secure the necessary votes. As a result, nine Republicans have entered the race, causing potential delays in the election process. With legislative business halted, there is a growing urgency to resolve the leadership crisis before the funding deadline. Democratic Representative Hakeem Jeffries has proposed a coalition government as a possible solution, but it is unlikely unless significant concessions are made. In the absence of an elected speaker, Representative Patrick T. McHenry is serving as the speaker pro tempore, but his authority is limited. The fate of government funding and legislative progress depends on resolving the deadlock in choosing a new House speaker. #MiddleEast #HakeemJeffries #FederalGovernmentOfTheUnitedStates #Jordan #Louisiana #PatrickMchenry #SteveScalise #Ukraine #EuropeanUnion #JoeBiden #UnitedStatesHouseOfRepresentatives #Israel #RepublicanPartyStates #September11Attacks #JimJordanPolitician #Nato #NorthCarolina #DemocraticPartyStates #UnitedStatesCongress #Ohio #IndependentPolitician #Hamas #KevinMccarthy #UnitedStatesCapitol #NewYork #MchenryCounty #Illinois #PlannedParenthood

To a Better Future. Post 7. Why the Voice is in the constitution, and why so little detail? 1. Two good questions, both with STRONG cut-through by the No campaign. 2. Two good answers, both with MINIMAL cut-through from the Yes campaign. 3. Wills Strake answers question 1 brilliantly. Watch Wills here: https://lnkd.in/gFJFpz9C 4. Little detail in the constitution (question 2) is deliberate. It leaves the focus, structure, membership and execution to the Parliament. Exactly where it should be. (Did you know even the Prime Minister is not a thing in the constitution - the role and title is an agreed convention of the Parliament.) 5. Recognition as first peoples is about righting history. The Voice is about setting up for future success. 6. You can Yes.
