With over 611,000 people on #NHS waiting lists for #ophthalmology treatment, ophthalmology is a major contributor to the NHS backlog. Early detection combined with treatment can slow or stop glaucoma progression.! If you're over 60, have a family history of glaucoma, or live with conditions like diabetes, schedule a comprehensive eye exam. 🗓️👁️ 3️⃣ The only clinically proven treatment for glaucoma is to lower eye pressure. Some medicines cause the eye to make less fluid. Others lower pressure by helping fluid drain from the eye. Advocate for regular eye screenings in your community.
