Congratulations to one of our 2021 Nursing Scholarship recipients, Heather Bradford! 🎓🩺✨Today, Heather graduates from Vanderbilt University Graduate School in Nashville, TN with her PhD in Nursing. She is currently the Assistant Program Director and Nurse-Midwifery/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner at Georgetown University, and her career goal is to secure a tenure-track faculty position at a research-focused nursing institution. "I would like to use this platform to continue to grow the midwifery workforce as an educator as well as study and disseminate key findings on my area of interest and others that aim to reverse the worsening US trend of maternity mortality and morbidity," Heather shares. Established in 1998, the March of Dimes Nursing Scholarships recognize and promotes excellence in nursing and furthers the organization's commitment to ensuring moms and babies receive the highest quality of medical care, as well as improving health equity. They are awarded to the highest scoring applicants demonstrating a commitment to the mission of March of Dimes. The recipients each receive a $10,000 scholarship supported by Pampers Professional, a March of Dimes partner for more than 26 years.
