She was a very learned individual, skilled in multiple disciplines like law, economics and yes you guessed it! Chemistry! She was familiar with extraction methods that she would have learnt from the ancient Egyptian botanists. 4. She often gifted foreign delegates and dignitaries with perfume as symbols of luxury and as a diplomatic gesture thus improving foreign relationships. 5. Her religious use of fragrance made her extremely captivating and alluring. She used perfumes in her seduction tactics and it is believed that Mark Antony and Julius Caeser fell prey to these tactics.
