Where do you know the entry code? Who will let you in? When you’re pondering on niche and specialty, think about places that feel comfortable and familiar to you, that may not be comfortable for all coaches. There might be a place for your services there. 🥊🚩If you have some environments where you are ‘uncommonly comfortable’ they are worth exploring. The tech sector? The boardroom? Charities? Schools? Groups of mummies? Grandparents? Hotel owners? Expats? Wherever you feel at home is a great place to start coaching. Where will they open the door and let you in? #niche #speciality #coaching #coachingbusiness

Our decision to partner with Sported back in the early days of the consultancy stemmed from a shared belief in the #powerofsport and #physicalactivity to really bring about positive change in young people’s lives and strengthen communities across the UK. Why Sported? We chose to work with Sported because of their commitment to supporting community groups and creating inclusive opportunities for participation. Their vision aligns perfectly with our consultancy’s mission to drive meaningful, purpose-driven solutions. Our Work Our team at Nicky Affleck Consultancy Ltd engaged in a comprehensive evaluation of Sported’s Connected Communities model. This involved facilitating workshops and community groups across London to understand the programme's benefits and engagement levels. Through detailed research and development, we provided a full report with actionable recommendations for future initiatives. The Connected Communities model is vital in creating resilient, inclusive communities. It highlights the importance of local partnerships and stakeholder engagement, demonstrating that collaboration at the grassroots level can lead to substantial, positive changes. Our expertise in stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation was crucial in uncovering these insights and providing strategic direction. Key Learnings One of the most significant learnings was the underestimated value of peer learning within community groups. This insight has prompted Sported to revamp their member engagement strategy, emphasizing peer learning and networking to maximize impact. Our regular, open, and honest communication with Sported ensured a shared understanding of needs and outcomes, leading to effective decision-making. Our Expertise This project showcased our consultancy's strength in research and development, stakeholder engagement, and workshop facilitation. We are proud of the thorough evaluations and clear, strategic insights we provided, which have already led to tangible results for Sported. We are grateful for the opportunity to support Sported and are really pleased about the change our collaboration has initiated. A special thank you to Onyinye N., London Regional Manager at Sported, for her time and teaming up with us. #Consulting #CommunityImpact #SportForDevelopment #ConnectedCommunities #PeerLearning #ResearchAndDevelopment #StakeholderEngagement #WorkshopFacilitation #Sported #NickyAffleckConsultancy If you are interested in learning more about our work or discussing potential collaborations, feel free to connect!
We're excited to share a brand-new case study with you! This addition to our ongoing series aims to highlight the key services we provide to our clients and the collaborative impact we've made! This case study features Sported! Here is a quick snapshot of the case study: 🎯 Their Mission: Sported is a charity which delivers expertise, resources and vital support to clubs and groups that use sport and physical activity to make a positive impact on young people – and on our communities – throughout the UK. 💼 Our Contribution: Nicky Affleck Consultancy supported on the evaluation of Sported’s Connected Communities model. The evaluation included the facilitation of workshops and community groups across London. 🌟 Our Impact: “Since the completion of our support, we have been able to grow our membership in areas which we had considerably less presence historically. This is due to the work we have been doing to build relationships with those local authorities, which we would not have done if not for the insight provided to us by the consultancy on the positive impact of local partners in our connected communities project.” Dive into the complete case study using the link below! A massive thank you to Onyinye Nkemdirim - London Regional Manager, Sported, for chatting with us. 🙌 #NickyAffleckConsultancy #GrassrootsSports #BusinessConsultancy #PurposeDriven #CollaborativeChange #TransformativeAction #CaseStudy #CaseStudySeries https://lnkd.in/eCqkEX88

Experienced hospitality consultant/freelance executive offering operational and commercial support to SME businesses, as well as hospitality recruitment for executive, management & chef roles.
The 1st few weeks of the year seem to have flown by and I wonder where the time has gone? I've a handful of projects that are progressing to the business end of execution now and that always means slightly longer days. I've been sitting this morning planning my diary for the next few weeks and I found myself thinking how much more time I'd have if I didn't have my voluntary commitments ontop of my work commitments: 👉 Planning a charity event at a local non-league football club to raise funds to continue with their programme to feed underprivileged children outside school of term-time. 👉 Coaching my U15 football team and all the added extras that go with that (grassroots coaches will know 😉). 👉 Into my 10th year of educational governance with an exciting list of projects following another successful OFSTED visit last year. When I started WHAM Hospitality Consultancy & WHAM Hospitality Recruitment I committed to 'giving back' as one of the core values, and particularly working pro-bono on at least 2 charity based projects per year. Yes, it all bites into my hours of the day, but as I had my earlier thought, I reminded myself of the help we were given as a family growing up, and the support of like-minded volunteers back then who gave up there time to 'give back' to others. I really believe that if you're able, everyone should find something that's close to their heart and see how giving some of their voluntary time can be the most valuable 'sale' you'll ever make. If you currently volunteer, or give up some of your business hours to support a movement or organisation, I'd love to hear the type of thing that's close to your heart and why: ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

Hi, I need your help! I am appealing for help from my LinkedIn contacts about some research into club sponsorship for a local sports club I am involved with in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Would you please take a few minutes to answer a few short questions? It is so I can get an understanding from a business perspective on how you approach sponsorship and charity donations. 1. Do you have an annual budget for charity or good cause donations? 2. Do you have an annual budget for sponsorship? 3. Do you tend to choose local or national concerns? 4. Do you currently sponsor a club? 5. Are they a local club to your business or national? 6. Would you consider sponsorship of a local club? 7. What could you offer the club? 8. What would you expect in return? I really appreciate any responses. This is not a sales pitch, just looking for feedback from Business in the surrounding area.

Throwback memories of a charity auction event back in Novotel Auckland Airport. One the best reasons I chose to embark on my events career journey and now as a Virtual Assistant. As someone who has recently joined the board of the CIOF Scotland, I enjoyed reading Pippa Johnston blog. Pippa is the Director of Corporate Development Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity and shares how being on a board has benefits for both the charity and the person joining the board. Pippa shares why being on a board is rewarding "More learning. More exposure to highly skilled colleagues. More connections and contacts. It’s great." Read more from Pippa here https://lnkd.in/eTAPAKUd Have you recently joined a board? Do you have any tips for a fundraiser who has newly joined a board or perhaps thinking about joining a board?

Often, we see organizations focused on providing resources for underprivileged &/or underserved youth, & dedicate serious time and resources to affinity groups that do incredible work in those spaces. It is a phenomenal trend in the business space today, and the philanthropic philosophy that so many companies and non-profits alike have taken is much needed and has yielded incredible results nationwide to those who direly need them. While the 18-&-under demographic is popularly served and assisted, the 18-30 demographic has long been an untapped and underserviced group from a communal resource standpoint. One of my closest friends Devon Banks identified this and has started to organize community events in his own and surrounding communities here in San Francisco. The goal is to foster a space for those who have taken the next steps in their lives into adulthood - and realized the stresses that come with that transition - a place to disassociate from some of the stresses of their current lives and revert to some of the feelings of their youth: having fun, exercising, and enjoying the camaraderie that comes with competitive sports. The flag football tournaments he's been able to host so far have been filled with music, food, drinks, incredibly positive energy, & left everyone who's attended asking "When's the next one going to be?". Please reach out to him if you or your company have a desire to assist in the further development of communal activities - or if you have 3 friends that you think could win a 4-on-4 basketball tournament for a cash prize. #SanFrancisco #Community #Philanthropy #Sports
Hello everyone, My name is Devon Banks I’m from Bayview, San Francisco, Ca and I host one day sports tournaments for the community. So far I have hosted two flag football events, the video below is from the first event we had 100 players come out, and it was a great time and now I would like to host my first basketball tournament this summer. I’m reaching out because I need support to continue putting these events on and I’m looking for grant information and/or donations. My purpose for these events is to bring positive events to my community and give young black and brown males something to do to keep them out of trouble and keep them motivated to stay in shape and stay active! There is a lot of work based things for age 20-30 young men but there isn’t much for them to do for fun, so if you know of any grants or feel it in your heart to donate I would truly appreciate it! Please share this information with as many people as you see fit, I truly appreciate your time and help! Best, Devon Banks
