🚀 Introducing the New “Zoning” Function for Indoor Vehicle Location! 🔍 Zoning is a feature that can come with your Blaxtair to enable automatic adaptation of vehicle speed as they enter specific areas, such as high-risk ones, with high vehicle/pedestrian co-activity. This innovative function is designed to enhance safety and efficiency in indoor environments. 🎯 Enhanced Safety: Zoning helps adjust dynamically vehicle speed based on the immediate environment. It ensures that vehicles operate at a safe and appropriate speed when navigating areas with a high vehicle/pedestrian co-activity. This real-time adaptation reduces the risk of accidents and near-misses, making workplaces safer for everyone. 📈 Increased Efficiency: Beyond safety, "Zoning" also enhances operational efficiency. By automatically slowing down in high-risk areas, vehicles can maintain a smoother workflow and avoid abrupt stops and starts. This, in turn, minimizes wear and tear on equipment and reduces downtime. 💡Blaxtair ARCURE thus intends to provide its customers with a whole range of fleet management solutions that meet their needs. The Zoning feature is only a first step. #ZoningFunction #VehicleSafety #SafetyFirst #Efficiency #SmartTechnology

🚗 Traffic circles and roundabouts and rotaries – oh my! 🚗 Buckle up as we delve into the fascinating world of circular intersections and discover some interesting tidbits in this edition of #AskAnEngineer! 🟢 Traffic circles: A typical intersection – but with a twist! Drivers enter the circle at a right angle like a typical perpendicular intersection and may not have to yield to traffic already in the circle. Traffic circles often have stop signs or traffic signals where branches meet the circle. 🟡 Roundabouts: A circular intersection where drivers travel counterclockwise around a center island. No traffic signals or stop signs here! When entering a roundabout, you gotta yield to the traffic already in the roundabout. Once you’ve done that, you can smoothly cruise along the circulating roadway and exit at your desired street. It’s like a merry-go-round for cars! 🔴 Rotaries: These are the wild cousins of roundabouts! According to Washington County DOT, a rotary functions like a freeway cloverleaf, where traffic entering the freeway from a loop ramp must weave quickly with traffic exiting the freeway at the next loop. It’s a whirlwind of cars merging and exiting in perfect harmony! We also found all these circular features have variable definitions depending on who you ask. It’s just like the age old debate of highways versus freeways. We might have a specific idea of the differences, but many folks, even engineers, often use the terms interchangeably. Oh, and of course, because we are engineers, someone suggested renaming these circular traffic features with a snazzy acronym: CFCI (Circular Feature in the Center of the Intersection). Fancy, huh? So, what’s your take on this? Are they synonymous? Or should we give the circular traffic features on Camp Humphreys a specific name? Let us know! #TeamTrafficCircle #TeamRounabout #TeamRotary #EngineeringWonders
