📢Let's talk about ableism in the business world! Despite being among the various "isms" like sexism, racism, and ageism, ableism often remains unspoken. It silently influences our daily interactions, both consciously and unconsciously. This lack of discussion stems from a fundamental gap in understanding and education. Instead of striving for true equity, there's a prevalent belief that individuals with disabilities need to be "fixed" to fit into society. This outdated notion couldn't be further from the truth… It's high time we challenge ableism. We need to call out stereotypes, pick up on microaggressions, and be aware of the outright discrimination many disabled folk are on the receiving end of. Society and businesses need to evolve and embrace inclusion! Let's pave the way for a more inclusive workplace where everyone's unique abilities are not only valued but celebrated. Together, let's create a future where ableism has no place and diversity and inclusion reign supreme. If you’re ready to learn more and take action, start with our Inclusion is a Culture Masterclass. It’s only £99 and a great way to get the ball rolling. Head here: https://lnkd.in/e_NHwtKg #AbleismAwareness #InclusiveBusiness #EqualityForAll

Aloha in a diverse country, and the Governor of Florida would like to band from the University. Diversity, equality, and inclusion are interconnected concepts that promote a more just and equitable society. Here's what each term means: 1. Diversity: Diversity refers to a wide range of identities, perspectives, and experiences within a group, organization, or society. It encompasses various dimensions, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, socioeconomic status, religion, and cultural background. Embracing diversity means recognizing, valuing, and celebrating the differences that individuals bring, and actively seeking to create inclusive spaces that honor and respect these differences. 2. Equality: Equality is the principle that all individuals should have the same rights, opportunities, and treatment regardless of their differences. It involves the fair and just distribution of resources, benefits, and opportunities to ensure that everyone has an equal chance to succeed. Equality means removing barriers and addressing systemic discrimination to create a level playing field for all individuals, regardless of their background or characteristics. 3. Inclusion: Inclusion is the practice of creating an environment where all individuals feel valued, respected, and empowered to fully participate and contribute. It goes beyond mere representation and aims to create a sense of belonging and acceptance for everyone. Inclusion involves actively inviting and involving diverse perspectives, fostering collaboration and collaboration, and ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive and succeed. It requires addressing biases, challenging exclusionary practices, and creating spaces where diversity can truly be embraced. Together, diversity, equality, and inclusion work towards building a society that respects and values the uniqueness of every individual, promotes fairness and justice, and ensures that everyone has an equal opportunity to participate, contribute, and reach their full potential. When these principles are embraced and practiced, they lead to stronger communities, organizations, and societies that benefit from the richness and strength of diversity. #fypシ゚viral #Yo #thestyledoctor #therebirthofthegentlemen

When discussing Intersectionality and Dimensions of Diversity I had a leader say he didn’t want to know that I was gay nor hear about my husband…. Well… Positive 2SLGBTQIA+ representation is crucial as it fosters acceptance, educates about diversity and empowers individuals. By breaking stereotypes and showcasing diverse experiences, it promotes equality and inclusion. When everyone sees themselves reflected in media, it helps build a more understanding and compassionate society, ensuring that all people feel valued, respected, and understood. #HappyPrideSeason

Great Forbes article linked below that shows that small businesses thrive when they embraced inclusion. "The roots of DEI can be traced back to the civil rights movements of the 1960s, when activists fought against racial segregation and discrimination. Over time, the scope of diversity and inclusion work expanded to encompass not only race but also gender, sexual orientation, disability and other facets of identity. Organizations began recognizing the importance of diversity and inclusion not just as a moral imperative, but also as a strategic advantage, leading to the development of policies and initiatives aimed at promoting diversity, ensuring equity and fostering inclusive environments. Today, diversity and inclusion work continues to evolve, and it has become a political issue, with some states banning the work and others doubling down on its importance." https://lnkd.in/eB_Xupuc

Make diversity your company's new superpower! || I help European tech companies to attract new employees, become an even more attractive employer and retain key personell.
WHY? I strongly believe that equality, diversity and inclusion is important - from the inside and out. It is important to give all individuals equal opportunities. Because every person has equal value. Every person has UNIQUE GIFTS AND TALENTS, and they deserve to be seen. For me, that's the core. At the same time, equality and diversity is BUSINESS CRITICAL for all companies. And to make diversity work, you have to make inclusion work. So there is money and business success in equality, diversity and inclusion. And last but not least, in an equal and diverse society that includes everybody, we build a strong foundation for a free and just society. The less exclusion, the less ground for criminality. This might not be political mainstream in many countries right now, but for me it is still true.
