Nvidia BioNeMo enables generative AI for drug discovery https://lnkd.in/eCRimi8z Pharma companies can access the Nvidia Clara healthcare suite, including BioNeMo via Amazon SageMaker and AWS ParallelCluster. Announced at AWS re:Invent, the initiative gives healthcare and life sciences developers using AWS cloud resources the flexibility to integrate Nvidia-accelerated offerings such as Nvidia BioNeMo — a generative AI platform for drug discovery — coming to Nvidia DGX Cloud on AWS, and currently available via the AWS ParallelCluster cluster management tool for high performance computing and the Amazon SageMaker machine learning service. The microservices, 25 of which launched today, can accelerate transformation for healthcare companies as generative AI introduces numerous opportunities for pharmaceutical companies, doctors and hospitals. These include screening for trillions of drug compounds to advance medicine, gathering better patient data to aid early disease detection and implementing smarter digital assistants. Researchers, developers and practitioners can use the microservices to easily integrate AI into new and existing applications and run them anywhere — from the cloud to on premises — equipping them with copilot capabilities to enhance their life-saving work.

Today we announced a groundbreaking five-year commercial agreement and go-to-market collaboration with Microsoft to build the infrastructure layer for drug discovery using #AI and high performance computing.   This first of its kind, fully integrated, drug discovery and development platform will combine 1910’s massive, computational and wet lab biological data, robotics-driven laboratory automation and multimodal AI models for drug discovery with Microsoft’s next-generation high-performance computing platform, Azure Quantum Elements.   The platform will be offered to potential pharmaceutical, biotechnology, government, academic, and research institutions via three partnership models: Co-discovery, Co-engineering, and Platform-as-a-Service.   Together we will accelerate scientific discovery and empower pharmaceutical R&D teams worldwide to generate therapeutics faster and more cost-effectively. Exciting AI developments in the biotech space. The partnership will enable Recursion to leverage NVIDIA’s DGX Cloud to accelerate its AI training, which offers AI-as-a-service software. The deal will also give Recursion access to the NVIDIA AI-stack and its software expertise to further enhance the training of its models. These models will also be able to access NVIDIA's BioNeMo, a cloud service for generative AI in drug discovery, which was released earlier this year. The cloud service offers tools for customization and deployment of biomolecular models through cloud APIs, which Recursion intends to support its internal pipeline with, as well as its current and future partners. Ultimately, those models can then be licensed to other biotech and pharma companies through the cloud service. Tech giants like Google and NVIDIA have been teaming with biopharma companies and we at Pedersen & Partners sure that more developments and partnerships will occur in a very short space of time!
