Thank you to Jay Gilbert and Mike Etchart for hosting me today at the YOUR MORNING COFFEE Podcast. Was great to talk about new features from beatBread and hear more of their succinct roundup on developments in the music industry. I'd recommend listening to it all, but if you just want to focus on beatBread, we come up at 31:30. https://bio.to/UloQY6

Recently I find myself down these ridiculous deep dives into ancient-technology for an unhealthy dose of the times that were. HTML Goodies, Geocities and one more gem: Winamp. My favourite podcast, Omnibus! (hosted by Ken Jennings & John Roderick), indulged me as a long-standing Patreon member and did an episode - in fact over an hour - on Winamp. This little program was my idyllic connection between music and technology. It's a story about digital music, product strategy, and giving the finger to big corporates. It's also a story about why innovation-for-innovation-sake can be the biggest enemy to, well, everything. Do yourself a favour and listen to the episode. Listen to their 700-deep back-catalogue.
