One important skill you need to teach yourself and your kids: Usually, better thinkers make better decisions. If you want to: - think clearly and rationally - think logically and independently - think in a self-regulated manner then you need Critical Thinking. When you do research you learn to question many things: Discovery of new information simply leads to discussions and more questions. But not everyone is a researcher. This infographic by Global Digital Citizen Foundation offers a good list of questions to exercise critical thinking. And this applies to all contexts of life. What else should be added to develop critical thinking? Let us know in the comments. ~~~ I share my learnings here. If you enjoyed this post, share it with your network and follow me Mustafa - more. “We prevented over-servicing our client by finding a win-win solution.” That’s according to a recent participant in our programme. Here’s what happened... 💬💬💬 We’ve long been stuck in a cycle of over-servicing, carrying out tasks that seem simple but often become time-consuming and under-appreciated. This problem arose once again with an innocent request to make some changes. Prior to our Team Sterka training, we would have responded with a people-pleasing, “No problem”, followed by sighs behind the computer screen. However, this time we pushed back using one of the frameworks that we’d learned. We solved the issue by finding a win-win where we were able to deliver value in a fraction of the time. The client was really pleased as the solution allowed us to use our billable time in more effective ways while upskilling their team to save us more time down the line. 🗨️🗨️🗨️ Want your team to gain skills like this? Our client leadership programme will have a huge impact on your business. Come see what all the fuss is about! Join us at our next free workshop 👉 https://lnkd.in/d7avj57H

"We should start by defining critical thinking as being the analysis of statements, facts or observations to make a rational assessment. In the classical period of Ancient Greece, the philosopher Plato referred to the teachings of Socrates as the earliest records of critical thinking. Just like Socrates, we can use our critical thinking by self-correcting habits of the mind that can get in the way of logic and rationality, and which prevent us from making a proper assessment of a situation, thus getting in the way of achieving happiness and goals."
