Struggling with a stretched team? 🙋♂️🏫 In bustling hallways and chock-full classrooms, the pulse of our school demands more hands on deck. As our community grows, so does the need for dedicated support staff. They are the unsung heroes of our educational machine. 🛠️🎓 Here is the lowdown: Support staff are shaping futures, one pupil at a time. Their value? Immeasurable. Their presence? A quintessential pillar of the robust educational framework we pride ourselves on. Whether it's a guiding hand, administrative savvy, or the warm, reassuring presence that turns school halls into corridors of opportunity, they're imperative. 🌟✨ Yet here we are, short-handed, craving that extra pair of eyes, that additional supportive smile to meet our students' needs and keep the school thriving. Our goal? To fortify our ranks, champion our students' potential, and ensure no need goes unmet, no talent unnoticed. Can you picture the impact of a few more devoted staff? I can, and it's transformative. 🚀 #SupportStaffNeeded #EducationHeroes #SchoolCommunity

Public school teacher/instructional specialist and substitute who is currently subbing as well as training and supporting substitute teachers and paraprofessionals.
Attention all Federal Way area public educators! Our January Federal Way SubCommunity gathering is all about student behavior. Substitute educators often lack time and relationship with students. So, the way we connect with, talk to and discipline students will often look and sounds different than a full time classroom teacher. When substitutes come to our FREE SubCommunity gatherings, they eat a delicious meal together and observe high yield instructional and social-emotional classroom management strategies modeled for them. They have time to talk to other substitutes about our job - an opportunity that rarely occurs for subs. Share this flyer and/or the link in our bio with all the Federal Way area substitutes you know! #SubCommunities #subshortage #conklineducationalperspectives #substituteteachers #substituteteaching #substituteteacher #subshortage #substituteteachersofinstagram #pnwsubstituteteachers #teachersfollowteachers #principalsofinstagram #principalsofinstagram I

Finding Opportunities for Business Excellence | To Increase Organizational Effectiveness and Efficiency | To Strengthen Value Added
What to do if you have or foresee a severe teacher shortage? Especially in hard to staff areas? See what one exceptional district did below. 1st, Congratulations Stephanie Howard, Ed.D.! Kudos to you and your leadership team! Two thoughts came to mind after reading this short axios article. 1. Apollo 13 and the Nasa team. In his Forbes article "Lessons From the Successful Failure" Geoff Loftus wrote, "Mission Control refused to fail and did whatever they had to do to give Apollo 13 its Plan B’s, C’s, and D’s." They used the resources available...You are doing that using Grow Your Own (GYO), cultivating future educators, and leading the way! 2. The HBR article, How You Define the Problem Determines Whether You Solve It, Art Markman, Ph.D. Your team seems to have looked at this problem similar to how Markham described. From the article: "The most consistently creative people and groups are ones that find many different ways to describe the problem being solved." 👍 and... "Most of us have been looking in the wrong place for our creative insights. We ask people to “think outside the box,” but we should be asking people to find more descriptions of the box and see what that causes us to remember." 👍 👍 Thank you, team Midland! Well Done! #definetheproblem #describethebox #agilemindset #PublicEducation #growyourown https://lnkd.in/gi4cw4as
I’m proud of our team for thinking differently about the teacher shortage - solution oriented approaches to having high-quality teams in front of students and grow the teaching profession!

🕺 There should be no "special education classrooms" in our buildings. Spaces for support, when needed, should be for evidence-based intervention for any student who needs it. Homework help ≠ intervention. #LeadInclusion #EdLeaders #Educators #UDL #TeacherTwitter

"As an educator, I know that the best way to grow your students is to grow yourself. And it seemed like the next natural step after getting my teaching certificate was to enroll in a rank change program. I chose this rank change program because of the flexibility and affordability." – Pamela Wood, BloomBoard Rank Change Program Graduate and 1st Grade Teacher, Marshall County School District, Kentucky In partnership with select regional service centers, BloomBoard developed a low-cost continuing education option that supports Kentucky teachers in earning rank change to deepen their teaching practice and move them up the pay scale. Districts across Kentucky are investing in this new program to help improve teacher recruitment and retention. Program features and benefits: 🏫 Job-embedded program allows educators to demonstrate mastery within the context of their own classrooms. ⏰ Self-paced courses make the program accessible and flexible for busy teachers. 💪 Personalized pathways give educators the ability to customize learning to align with their professional goals. 💰Affordable cost with financing options that could allow educators to defer payment.
