I guess some very well trained lawyers and investment bankers should get involved in making this even more globally competitive to #insure that Poland never gets divided, wiped off the map or subjected to communist rule again, and, equally importantly, to further EU and European #democratic values in CEE. #insurance #eulaw #democracy #humanrights #makeCEEgreatagain These videos are great and so educational. #standwithukraine #internationallaw #polskadiaspora #polandjobs

In today's globalised society, the amalgamation of cultures is an undeniable reality. As we become more interconnected, we often find ourselves caught in a dilemma. We all grapple with the subtle yet pervasive pressure to conform to trends. The consequences of this conformity often result in the erosion of native & cultural identities. In a powerful display of cultural pride, New Zealand's youngest MP, Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke, recently performed the traditional Māori haka during her parliamentary speech. At just 21 years old, Maipi-Clarke has become a symbol of the importance of owning and celebrating one's cultural identity in today's globalised landscape. The significance of this act lies not just in the performance itself, but in the broader message it conveys. By unapologetically embracing her native culture, the young MP sends a powerful signal to a world drowning in conformity. Let us be inspired by her example to embrace our own cultures, promoting an environment where diversity is celebrated, and individuals feel empowered to express their heritage proudly. #culture #cultureandheritage #native #nativehana #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalwellness

The 26th of January has long been a day of national pride and celebration, a day where people celebrate “Australia Day”. However, as societal awareness evolves, there is a growing recognition of the need to reconsider the significance of this date, the broader implications it holds and why changing the way we commemorate Australia Day is not only necessary but a crucial step towards fostering inclusivity and acknowledging the historical struggles of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Acknowledging the perspectives of First Nations peoples is crucial in understanding why a change in Australia Day’s commemoration is necessary. 26 January is often referred to as “Invasion Day” or “Survival Day,” underscoring the negative impact of European settlement on their communities. By respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander experiences and supporting the call for a more inclusive approach, we can work towards building a nation that truly values and incorporates the diverse narratives of its citizens. Please see attached a statement of support for First Nations People this January 26.

To countless Indigenous people, Australia Day represents ‘Survival’, ‘Invasion’ and most regrettably, a ‘Day of Mourning’, yet every year Australia faces the same existential crisis over the hailing of its founding day. With such high levels of controversy; how should Australia salute this contentious day, if at all. For many of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, the annual Australia Day celebration that falls on the 26 January, is a day with little to celebrate. Instead, this day commemorates the loss of their sovereign rights over their land, people and culture. So why do we celebrate such a painful day? “Australia is the only country that relies on the arrival of Europeans on its shores as being so significant (that), it should herald the official national day,” explained Aboriginal activist Michael Mansell. Mansell expressed that for him, the date painfully marks the anniversary of European arrival and the violent action that took place thereafter; and is a distressing memory of “the coming of one race at the expense of another”. - This article was originally published in 2020 🔗 Read More - https://lnkd.in/g9yqX6XR #invasionday #australiaday #indigenoussolidarity #ethniccleansing #alwayswasalwayswillbe #solidarity

🌟 Do You Know the Meaning of the 25th April to Portugal? On April 25th, Portugal celebrates a historic milestone that changed the course of the country: It is called the “Freedom Day”. On this date in 1974, the Carnation Revolution took place, a peaceful movement that restored democracy in Portugal and ended nearly five decades of dictatorship. The Carnation Revolution was marked by the courage and determination of the Portuguese people, who took to the streets to protest against the authoritarian regime. The most iconic symbol of this movement was the red carnation, which protesters placed in the barrels of soldiers' guns, symbolizing non-violence and the pursuit of peace. The historic Bridge of Lisbon, is named after this date in honor of the revolution that restored freedom and democracy in Portugal. The bridge serves as a permanent reminder of the power of the people and the importance of the fight for justice and equality. On this day, we remember with gratitude those who fought for freedom and democracy in Portugal. May this date continue to inspire us to value and preserve the fundamental rights of all citizens.
