Fact worth knowning: '70% of autistic people think their lives would improve if people understood why clothes matter. For many autistic people, clothes are more than just clothes; they can help with sensory regulation, and provide routine, acceptance & comfort.'
After an inspiring campaign last year, Vanish and Ambitious about Autism partner again to raise awareness and drive behaviour change to understand the importance of clothes for many autistic people.
✍ Make a difference as well, listen to their stories and sign the 'More Than Just Clothes' pledge to support autistic young children and their families:
J - Leave JUDGEMENT out of the clothing choices of others.
U - Build UNDERSTANDING around autism and how clothes can impact life.
S - See clothes as SENSORY tools that can provide regulation.
T - Help everyone THRIVE by accommodating their clothing needs.

Did you know that 70% of autistic people think their lives would improve if people understood why clothes matter? For many autistic people, clothes are more than just clothes; they can help with sensory regulation, and provide routine, acceptance & comfort.
This World Autism Acceptance Week, Vanish and Ambitious about Autism have developed the ‘More Than Just Clothes’ initiative, which is aimed at continuing to raise awareness about autism, driving behaviour change by urging people to understand the importance of clothes to many autistic people, and accommodating the needs of autistic people.
I have signed the More Than JUST Clothes Pledge, to recognise the clothing needs of autistic people, to help them thrive. - Advocate for inclusive environments in schools, workplaces, and communities.
- Listen to the voices of individuals with autism and amplify their perspectives.
-Offer support and accommodations to ensure equal opportunities and access.
-Encourage diverse representation in media and celebrate the unique talents of those with autism.

🌟Celebrating World Autism Awareness Day!🌟
Education and acceptance are the pillars that truly support autistic individuals. It's not enough to be aware that autism exists; we must strive to understand it, to learn about the challenges and strengths that it brings, and to create an environment where autistic individuals are accepted and valued for who they are.
Let’s celebrate their unique abilities, value their strengths and embrace neurodiversity inclusion! 💖💕🌟
