The accelerator that is needed to finally turn around the precipitous decline of American healthcare is a #science of primary care that provides the evidence on which to build #risk-based business models for longitudinal care commitments at the level of individual patients and panels of a PCP. "Make #evidence-based investments in payment models and measure results without burdening primary care teams with excessive administration." "key lever to drive better access, efficiency and health outcomes is to invest more in primary care through alternative #payment models that support whole-person, team-based care" "Policies that strengthen primary care and primary care #relationships are likely to strengthen health and #trust in the health care system and improve professional satisfaction for primary care clinicians. It will take leadership across multiple stakeholders and sectors to pivot resources to primary care."

As the President/CEO of Reid Health, I believe it is crucial to acknowledge the profound repercussions that limited healthcare access can have on both population health and patient well-being within a community. When individuals are unable to access necessary healthcare services, their overall health inevitably suffers. Preventive care and early intervention become challenging, leading to the exacerbation of illnesses and the potential for unnecessary complications. This not only impacts the individuals directly affected but also places an additional burden on our healthcare system as a whole. Moreover, the well-being of a community hinges on the health of its members. When healthcare access is restricted, the vitality and productivity of the community diminish. This not only affects individuals' ability to work and contribute to society but also places a strain on families, businesses, and the economy as a whole. At Reid Health, we understand the critical importance of expanding access to healthcare services. We are committed to working with local organizations, policymakers, and the community to implement solutions that ensure everyone has the opportunity to receive the care they need and deserve. Let us come together and advocate for comprehensive healthcare access, because a healthy community is a thriving community. Together, we can make a difference! #HealthcareAccess #CommunityHealth #PatientWellBeing #HealthcareMatters #TogetherWeThrive
