Founder of LilCo, an EdTech startup in France and Je Suis Lillois, a thematic experience for internationals in Lille. I am a Business Development Consultant for a GreenTech/AgroTech startup in France, Symbiosei.com
I was the guest speaker in BCCI British Chamber of Commerce and Industry last month where I talked about the reinvention of STEM education in the world. My talk is mostly highlighted into these three aspects 1. Why for STEM education brick and mortar system of traditional education is not enough and how we can go beyond the current standards in the next paradigm shift happening in STEM education 2. The aspect of Research in STEM education. In my personal knowledge, most EdTech companies spend large amount of money and resource in the research. 3. Education should be Scam Free. https://lnkd.in/eHsca7gB This is the presentation that I used made using Storydoc. I hope you like it. 😏 https://lnkd.in/eab8P4bd

Recently, I launched a webinar series called "Important Questions in K-12 STEM Education." You can find the webinar playlist on the Argument-Driven Inquiry YouTube page or by clicking this link: https://bit.ly/49XxVRr These 15-20 minute webinars allow me to provide answers to address current, and important, questions in K-12 STEM education. I have already hosted the first 4 webinars, which you can watch by clicking the link above. The four questions I answered are: 1. What are some important questions to ask publishers when evaluating instructional materials? 2. How can we support teachers learning new standards? 3. Why do we care if the objective is on the board? 4. What makes instructional materials high quality? My next webinar will be Tuesday, March 5 at 5:00 PM Eastern/4:00 PM Central time and will answer the question "What does good science teaching look like to an observer?" If you want to join me live, you can register at this link: https://bit.ly/4bTOZJM And, if you have any questions you want me to address in a future webinar, please put them in the comments below.

Great opportunity for #educators to learn how culture is a valuable asset in the learning process and allows students to engage content in a relevant and personal way. #stem #environmentaleducation #scienceeducation
On October 20-21, the Smithsonian Science Education Center is offering a free online professional learning opportunity for educators around the world entitled "Exploring Culturally Based Pedagogies Through An International Lens," to support educators in utilizing asset-based strategies in their STEM instruction and classroom activities. This professional development (PD) will create space for a community of practice focused on applying an international lens to STEM learning and exploring artifacts from around the world to emphasize the scientific value in ordinary objects. As a result of attending the PD, participants will learn how to support students in identifying connections between their learning and everyday activities, as well as develop an appreciation for socio-scientific issues around the world. Registration is free. The registration deadline is Wednesday, October 19, 2023 at 12:00 PM ET. Questions? Feel free to send us a message or email Addy Allred at AllredA@si.edu!
