🌟 Celebrating the Impact of Women in Business 🌟 We’re proud to highlight Public Label’s own Erica Calhoun, a dedicated member of the Denver Business Journal’s Outstanding Women in Business program. Over the past few decades, we’ve witnessed a remarkable surge of women rising from underrepresentation to influential leadership roles and successful entrepreneurship. Despite historical barriers like limited access to education and capital, women are now founding thriving companies and holding top executive positions. While challenges such as the gender pay gap and underrepresentation remain, the progress made underscores the crucial need to continue supporting and empowering women in business. Join us in recognizing the achievements and contributions of women leaders like Erica. Let’s continue to champion and pave the way for future generations of women in business! 🌟👩💼✨ #WomenInBusiness #Leadership #Empowerment

55% of Americans say there are too few women in executive positions, according to a Pew Research Center Survey. While there are more women chief executives (10.6%) and board members (30.4%) than ever before, the numbers are far less than half. We are big fans of a company that’s helping to positively change those numbers, and we want to shout them out for International Women’s Day. WOMEN Unlimited, Inc., The Women's Organization for Mentoring, Education and Networking is actively collaborating to close the gender gap in leadership roles, striving for a more balanced, inclusive future by partnering with companies directly. #InternationalWomensDay #DiversityInLeadership #InclusiveFuture

Many companies agree that female leadership is beneficial and necessary for business success. However, these companies often fail to realize that what’s keeping women out of leadership positions are their own company policies. In the article, 'What are we doing wrong when it comes to promoting women?', Rosalie (Sigall) Harrison, RPh, JD discusses how companies can overcome the common systemic barriers that hinder women from moving up the corporate ladder. For the first time ever in 2023, the number of women CEOs matched those named James and John. While it’s a step forward, it’s not the stride we’ve been hoping for. The journey to levelling the playing field isn’t just about numbers; it’s about creating environments where women feel empowered to lead authentically and with impact. Personally, I’ve seen firsthand the value that diverse leadership brings- different perspectives lead to better decisions, more innovation, and a stronger sense of inclusivity in our workplaces. #WomenInLeadership #WomenLeaders #GenderDiversity #WomenEmpwerment

Advocate for Women and DEI in Leadership | CEO & Co-Founder, Last Night’s Game | Connector By Nature | Shaping Entrepreneurs and the Future of Education | TEDx Speaker | Podcast Host | Adjunct Professor
As we honor Women's History Month, I want to shine a light on women entrepreneurs and leaders in business. I feel privileged to hold a leadership role and have always been passionate about supporting others who aspire to do the same. According to a great email I received from @rent-the-runway this week, women rate their performance 33% lower than equally performing men and are far less likey to tout their own laudable job performance than their male counterparts. (Harvard Business Review) Women often face unique challenges in business, which is why I appreciated this Forbes article on self-advocacy for women in business. It emphasizes key strategies like preparation, leveraging strengths and building a supportive network. By fostering a supportive community, we can defy outdated narratives and empower each other to succeed. #WomenMonth #WomenEntrepreneurs #WomensHistoryMonth #rtrshowoff
