It's been really interesting hearing the range of different hiring plans in this build up to the Christmas period.

I know someone that, I believe, was well qualified for a role they were interviewing for. The hiring process had 5+ interviews and a case study. They were doing great in the interviews, but during the process, they’re current job got extremely busy along with other things in their personal life. This person ended up having to drop out because they couldn’t put the time or energy they wanted into it.
Companies that have hiring processes like these push away people that are qualified for the role, but don’t have enough time and/or energy to complete the process. Or aren’t able to give 100% because the company is actually asking for 150% or more.

All I Can Really Say Is LinkedIn Is A Real Resource Where Recruiters Live. And It's The Sub Par Job Search Sites That Create A Stigma For Recruiters And Applicants Alike. LinkedIn Has Gotten Me VOLUNTARY Job Offers With 0 Initiation. I Didnt Seek The Positions, They Sought Me Out!

Step 3. Search For Job
Step 4. Quickly Apply And Submit With A Few Buttons!
Sounds Simple Right!?!
Step 5. Respond To Default Automated Email Saying To Complete Application Process, It's Currently Incomplete(No Human Interaction Yet)
Step 6. Respond To Default Automated Email About Logging Into Indeed To Take Quizzes Or Test For The Position. So I'm Logging Back Into Indeed For The Same Position? (No Human Interaction Still)
Step 7. Respond To Default Automated Email From Human Name Which Is Still Indeed Saying " You Might Be A Good Fit For This Job" Even Though The Automated System Also Told You, The Company Has Moved On To Other Candidates, Before You Even Realize You Were Actually A Candidate. (And Yes, Still No Human Contact)
Step 8. Resorting To Going To The Potential Employers Own Corporate Website And Applying Directly. Indeed Should've Just Linked Me To The Real Application Just Like LinkedIn Does. Then I Know For Sure A Recruiter In HR Has My App In Their System. And LinkedIn Easy Apply Will Result In That Recruiter Actually Traveling To Your Profile To Get A More Detailed Impression Of You!

If Your Candidate Has No Physical Contact With Human Resources How Does Your Business Stay Alive?
You may not like this, but I have contacted my congressional delegation to investigate as to why it's become so impossible to be interviewed for jobs when computers are being used to determine who is eligible to speak to someone. You have people that are coming back into the workplace who have gaps and not even being considered for positions. I have talked to different recruiters and discovered that an average review of a résumé is no more than three seconds! This is an insult to anyone applying for work given that they have worked weeks maybe months to create an honest to goodness résumé. Computers cannot tell why you have gaps. It cannot tell if you had health issues. It will not tell an employer that you have spent years studying various software to become eligible and qualified even if you didn't go to college. It also has been found that data about yourself is incorporated without your knowledge into a lot of the hiring process without your consent. I learned of these unethical practices. It is not fair that companies will not take the time to carefully review a résumé from a human heart perspective, than from a cold computer algorithm.
I come from the time when we read the text books and did the job.
