This refactoring challenge series by Ray Myers of Craft vs. Cruft demonstrates that even code that wasn't written to be testable can be tested, and adding tests is the only way to dependably understand and improve code. Rust Exploration Day 2: Create a New Rust Project Hello, everyone! On Day 2 of our Rust Exploration, I dived into the process of installing Rust on my local system and got acquainted with a few essential commands. To install Rustup, follow this link: 🌐 https://rustup.rs/ Here are some commands to get you started after installing Rustup: Show current version: rustup --version Update Rust: rustup update List toolchains: rustup toolchain list Install a specific version: rustup toolchain install <version> Set default version: rustup default <version> Uninstall a toolchain: rustup toolchain uninstall <version> And now, the exciting part! Use cargo new project_name to create a new Rust project. The newly created project includes the src/main.rs file, where we can write our Rust program. By default, this file contains a function printing "Hello, world!" Congratulations! 🎉 You've just created your first Rust project. Embarking on my Rust learning adventure 🚀, I've been diving into the fantastic book 📖 "Programming Rust" by Jim Blandy. The early chapters introduce some fascinating projects where Rust shines . One standout project is plotting the Mandelbrot set, a mesmerizing mathematical marvel . Picture a vast plane, where each point is auditioning for a role in the exclusive Mandelbrot set club. The audition? Points submit their coordinates to a magical formula (z(n+1) = z(n)^2 + c), repeatedly testing their mettle. If their results remain tame, not venturing into infinity, they earn their spot. Coloring these loyal club members unveils a stunning, complex tapestry, similar to a mesmerizing labyrinth of colors with an intricate pattern. This is one of the main reasons for my love of programming 💻. 🌟 Day 23 of 100 Days Coding Challenge: Woodcutting Made Easy 🌟 Today, I tackled an intriguing problem in my coding journey: Woodcutting Made Easy! 🪓💻 In this challenge, I delved into the world of algorithms to assist Lumberjack Ojas in optimizing his woodcutting process. Using my programming skills, I developed a solution that helped Ojas determine the maximum height for his sawblade while ensuring he could obtain the required amount of wood. 🌲🔍 The problem required strategic thinking and a deep understanding of binary search algorithms. By breaking down the problem into smaller steps and leveraging efficient coding techniques, I was able to provide a solution that met the challenge's requirements. 🎯✨ This coding challenge was not only a test of my technical abilities but also an opportunity for growth and learning.
