Last month, we celebrated our 2022 and 2023 Chairman’s Council winners with a sun-soaked getaway to Atelier Playa Mujeres in Playa Mujeres, Mexico. This trip honors our top-performing General Managers and Operations Supervisors for their embodiment of the RaceTrac Way and commitment to making the lives of our guests and store team members simpler and more enjoyable.
Our winners enjoyed five fun-filled days enjoying the sand and surf of the beautiful beaches of Cancun, getting the chance to mix, mingle and have fun with their peers and leaders.
One of the biggest highlights of the trip was the announcement of the Carl Bolch, Jr. award winners – an award that recognizes outstanding team members who go above and beyond their call of duty. Join us in congratulating our 2022 winner, Lillie Broussard, OS, from Louisiana Area 1, and our 2023 winner, naija miller, GM, at RT #2399 Remington Road in East Florida!

🌟 Grateful for the Opportunity 🌟
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our leadership at JW Marriott Prestige Golfshire for enrolling us in the Reiss Motivation Profile program. It's been an enlightening journey that has significantly enhanced my self-awareness.
Understanding what drives each team member individually is paramount in fostering a conducive environment for peak performance and driving positive results across the entire hotel. The insights gained from this program have been invaluable in this regard.
I must also express my appreciation for Bea and Rupali for organizing such engaging and fun activities during the session. From the creative use of LEGO to illustrate our motivations to the opportunity to deepen our connections with fellow leaders, every moment was enriching.
Through these activities, we not only discovered common ground but also learned to appreciate and respect our differences. It's moments like these that truly strengthen the bond within our team.
Thank you once again to JW Marriott Prestige Golfshire for investing in our growth and development. I'm excited about the positive impact this will have on our team dynamics and overall performance.

Last week we shared thoughts from our High Flyer Chris this week we touched base with Jo our Pride Awards winner on why she thinks she stood out and what it takes to succeed at Carpetright.
Our Pride Award winner Jo Marriott said:
When you work with a great team of people who want to deliver the best results, you feel compelled to do your very best to support them. I truly believe that if people ask for help you must step up and do the right thing, after all it’s really not hard, especially when you like people. Over the past couple of years InHome@Carpetright has been through an immense transformation, which has been exciting and challenging all at the same time and it’s been fabulous to have been part of this. I never dreamt I would win this, as there were so many worthy pride winners and am just so grateful to feel valued by others.
I have been very fortunate to work for a leader who has wanted me to use my operational skills and push me to explore new ways of working and then allow me to put them into practice. I feel more alive in the past 2 and half years than I have for a long time. Having the right leadership makes all the difference it’s energising when you are recognised for who you are and what you have to offer. Recognition helps you grow that’s for sure.
People make all the difference, be one of those wants to make a difference and not be frightened to step outside of your comfort zone. Be resilient and open to change and development. Enjoy your job and allow that to show, as working alongside enthusiastic people just sets you up for success.

DUOBBRAK is about to lose the "vitality" of patents for a market of 40 million "only" cars due to the economic shortage of the inventor and it will not be possible to do so https://lnkd.in/dMVFw_PR,
DUOBBRAK is successfully patented for USA EUROPE CANADA ITALY and is already a brand released in ITALY which
- reduces rare components and materials needed for the transition
- reduces stopping distances (to improve road safety given one victim every three hours, I remember that the European Parliament asks to halve them but the opposite happens),
- reduces stopping distances even with any fault (given the over 1 million cars recalled for brake problems).
- aims to reintroduce the proceeds deriving from the concession of use back into the economic fabric.
We also emphasized that yes
- reduce extractions that are harmful to the environment
- costs per company e
- costs for the end user
- and also health, social and insurance costs
- and waste disposal costs

🚀 Leadership in Action: Lessons from the Las Vegas Aces 🏀
Has anyone else been on a WNBA kick lately? I can’t get enough this season.
Although they’re not my favorite team in the league, I’ve loved the display of leadership from the Las Vegas Aces this season. In particular, their ability to bring every team member into the fold, including rookie Kate Martin. It feels like a shining example of how to build your junior team members up while maintaining a winning culture.
🎓 Finding The Right Talent
Kate Martin, a former player from the University of Iowa, was not expected to be selected in the 2024 WNBA draft. Yet, the Las Vegas Aces saw something special in her and made the bold decision to bring her on board, eventually giving her a spot on the team, citing her work ethic and competitive spirit, among other traits.
🤝 Embracing New Talent
Veteran leaders like A'ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum have been pivotal in integrating Kate into the team. They’ve publicly embraced and recognized her eagerness to grow, ability to learn quickly, and dedication as a team player.
🌟 Celebrating Wins
From celebrating her victories on the court during games to recognizing her efforts in practice, the Aces have made it clear that Kate’s success is their success. This approach boosts morale and fosters a strong sense of belonging.
🤗 Building Team Culture
From day one, the Aces have included Kate in their team culture and camaraderie. Moments like this locker room walk-out video exemplify how the team has embraced her, ensuring she feels like a valued member from the start.
💡 Takeaway
Bringing junior team members into your organization isn’t just about filling a role; it’s about integrating them into the fabric of your team. Recognizing and celebrating their strengths, fostering mentorship, and building a supportive culture set the stage for individual and collective success.
Let's take a page from the Las Vegas Aces' playbook and champion a winning culture through inclusive and supportive leadership. 🏆

"Service is black and white, hospitality is color." - Will Guidara
If you watched season 2 of The Bear 🐻 you saw Richie learn the power of great hospitality. They showed so many shots of him reading this book I had to see if it was real, and I picked it up from my library as soon as possible! I know we think of the hospitality business as mostly restaurants, maybe hotels, and certain types of events, but Will Guidara proposes in his book that everyone is in the hospitality business.
✨ We are all caring for people. ✨
The thing that stuck out most to me is the quote above. Giving someone what they need is simple, it's black and white. Giving someone more than they need, exceeding expectations, knowing people well... turns the plain black and white of a transaction into a colorful experience that people remember forever.
As we step into a new week I'm challenging myself to bring color 🎉 when it's easier to settle for black and white. ⚪ ⚫ What are some things you've done to elevate a normal experience to a great one with your team?
