18.1 MPG! Our 2022 Freightliner Cascadia towing the Range RB-01 trailer achieved 18.1 mpg during the final 281.6 miles between Bakersfield, CA and Las Vegas, NV. The results from this trip included a 2,000-foot net elevation gain and 12,000 feet total of climbing with ambient temperatures as high as 105 degrees Fahrenheit. #BringingTrailersToLife #RangeEnergy #ElectricPoweredTrailerSystem

What is the length of that reefer trailer?

Damn. That’s quite impressive. My Chevrolet Traverse does marginally better than that. BUT it weighs a fraction of a loaded tractor/trailer! WTF! 😆

That's fantastic! I recall around a dozen years ago, a Class 8 truck was typically around 6 mpg. I was researching various powertrain packages at the time including 50% brake thermal efficiency engines and waste heat recovery. I recall those would get a truck up to ~12mpg. Anything that can be done to reduce diesel consumption is great!

Great work Can I ask what the gross mass was for the truck trailer combo? I’m assuming you had a payload in the reefer?

Is that 18mpg ignoring the electricity, or 18mpge?
