I particularly appreciated having the schedule conveniently placed on my calendar, helping me navigate the bustling atmosphere. However, the speed dating atmosphere for the meetings could use some improvement. With 1000 tables in a small space and challenging acoustics, it became a vocal challenge to be heard over the buzz of parallel conversations.   Key takeaways from the conference:   💰 SMB Lending is hot: There's a growing awareness of the need and demand in this space, with banks waking up to the opportunity. 🔍 Focus on Portfolio Monitoring: Fintechs and banks are emphasizing the importance of staying on top of their portfolios, especially given recent regulatory actions. 📈 Financial Advice and Advocacy: Many companies are highlighting the need for financial advice and advocacy, addressing a crucial aspect in the current economy. 🚦 Cautious Approach to Technology Investments: Banks are considering technology investments cautiously, preferring long-lasting partnerships that offer flexibility for pivoting if needed (Building blocks instead of a bank-in-a-box). 🛒 Demand for Embedded Lending and Finance: Diversification and better utilization of relationships are key, with a noticeable demand for embedded lending and finance solutions.   Additionally, it was heartening to witness numerous women in tech events featuring table talks and discussions that were thought-provoking and relevant to empowering women in navigating this space more confidently. The importance of supporting and uplifting each other in our professional journeys was a recurring theme, highlighting the power of community and the resilience that comes from standing together.   Interestingly, AI and ML are being approached with more caution, reflecting a more practical stance as the full value of Gen AI is still unfolding.
