Prioritizing recovery even after completing treatment is crucial for sustaining long-term well-being. Recovery is an ongoing process, and maintaining focus ensures that you remain vigilant against potential triggers and setbacks. Continued prioritization allows you to reinforce and build upon the skills acquired during treatment, helping to solidify positive habits and coping mechanisms. #addiction #recoveryispossible #treatment

This webinar will help parents and carers, as well as educators and health and social care professionals, to gain a greater insight into how individuals with FASD manage on a daily basis. The webinar provides insights into what coping mechanisms and strategies individuals have learnt work for them - and for those with whom they live and work. Examples discussed in the webinar include: managing holidays, crowds, transport, birthdays, meals out, socialising, anger management, and a whole array of other daily situations that most people can just take for granted. #FASD #FetalAlcoholSpectrumDisorder

Inspired by Tzipora Schiffer LCSW comment: “Symptoms” are really protective mechanisms Developed out of necessity Due to the challenges one faces I’ll give a few examples that I have seen: Anxiety= motivates a person to be prepared for danger Disordered Eating= something a person can be in control of when life feels out of control. Overeating= way of comforting (when one does not have another means to comfort themselves or even) Avoidance of emotion= means a person doesn’t have to face the storm of overwhelming emotion inside. Depression= is easier than facing the world around them Please note: I am by no means endorsing these as “right” or “wrong”. Some of these can even get to be dangerous if taken too far, and definitely need to be addressed. We can honor these, hold space for, and be compassionate towards instead of critique, blame and stigmatize #emdr #traumainformedcare #lcsw #grow #inspire #mentalhealthmatters

Treatment length is highly dependent on a number of factors, including treatment goals, personal history, and client motivation. Sometimes, highly motivated clients notice significant improvements within 2-3 sessions. Most commonly, clients notice significant improvements within 8-12 treatment sessions. Clients with more complex backgrounds or symptom presentations may require more time in treatment before seeing significant change (6-12 months+). 🧑⚕️🧠 Specialized, Effective Treatment for Anxiety, OCD, and more at vividpsychologygroup.com #VividPsychologyGroup #AnxietyRelief #MentalWellness #AnxietySupport #OCDAwareness #TherapyJourney #MindHealth #MentalHealthMatters #PsychologyToday #HealingMindset #BreakTheStigma #TherapyWorks #SelfCareFirst #MentalStrength #EndTheSilence #MindfulLiving #TherapySessions #OCDWarrior

Indirect exposure to trauma through a first-hand account or narrative of a traumatic event can cause one to be traumatized. You may not experience the trauma directly but can get traumatized from listening to the person share about their trauma or caring for a traumatized person. Is this your first time hearing about it? Share your thoughts in the comment section. #wellness #traumacare #vicarioustrauma #jarsinstitute

We cannot care for others if we don’t care for ourselves. Come learn ways to recognize struggles within yourself, how they can effect you, and most importantly how to work through them. There are so many tools to deal with the emotional trauma we encounter in our careers. We will be discussing many options beyond talk therapy and medication, because we all experience things differently and, therefore, we all have different needs. #resilienceiskey #firstresponders #mentalhealthadvocate
