Acknowledging Excellence Acknowledging excellence in people who serve us is not only a gesture of appreciation but also a vital component of fostering a positive and supportive community. Whether it's frontline workers, customer service representatives, or public servants, individuals who dedicate themselves to serving others often go above and beyond their duties to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Recognizing their contributions not only validates their efforts but also inspires others to strive for excellence and contribute to the common good. Moreover, acknowledging excellence in those who serve us helps to cultivate a culture of gratitude, respect, and reciprocity. By expressing appreciation for the hard work, dedication, and compassion of service providers, we reinforce the value of their contributions and strengthen the bonds that unite us as a society. This recognition not only boosts morale and job satisfaction among service providers but also fosters a sense of pride and belonging within the community as a whole. Furthermore, acknowledging excellence in people who serve us can have ripple effects that extend far beyond individual interactions. When we publicly recognize and celebrate acts of service and kindness, we reinforce social norms that prioritize empathy, altruism, and cooperation. This, in turn, encourages others to emulate these behaviors and contribute positively to their communities, creating a virtuous cycle of mutual support and goodwill. In conclusion, acknowledging excellence in people who serve us is not just a nicety but a fundamental aspect of building a compassionate, inclusive, and resilient society. By recognizing and celebrating the efforts of service providers, we honor their contributions, inspire others to follow their example, and strengthen the bonds that unite us as a community. Whether through simple expressions of gratitude or formal recognition programs, acknowledging excellence in those who serve us is a powerful way to foster a culture of appreciation, respect, and collaboration that benefits us all.

LinkedIn Top Voice 👣 Barrister, Cultural Educator & Author 👣 Co-Director of Evolve Communities: Australia’s Trusted Authority for Indigenous Cultural Awareness Training & Ally Accreditation 🖤💛❤️
How can an Evolve Communities workshop support a culture of belonging in your workplace? In our Kinship Yarning Circle, participants learn how to connect with one another at the heart level and how to apply these strengths in their workplace and in society. 💫 In the Aboriginal world, everyone has a role to play, is valued and belongs. Our culture teaches us that all things are interrelated and interconnected – everyone and everything is considered family – animals, birds, trees, rocks and stars. We share a special bond with the Universe around us and are bound in a complex Web of Care that some call the Matrix. When an Aboriginal person proudly talks about their animal, plant or star Dreamings, they are trying to convey a profound connection with that entity who may be an Elder, Teacher, Mother, Father, Brother, Sister or Child. As with any family or tribe, there is a deep, abiding sense of community with all the nuances that relationship entails. This inexplicable feeling of kindredness that Indigenous people feel towards their fellow creatures and their environment (Country) is a beautiful thing to be cherished. It is our gift to humanity. #CulturalAwarenessTraining #AllyTraining #Belonging #Kinship #practicalreconciliation
