This will be my last Christmas inside. Going to try and make it on the outside. Rehabilitation is a fools errand based on a faulty premise. (yes I agree with my old super -rehabilitation is bunk- perhaps for different reasons, but the idea is the same). All of us are broken, which as the normal state, needs to be accepted. Custodial care needs to make sense, be meaningful and add meaning to our lives. To the lives of voluntary and mandated prisoners, we're all doing time, together. Either side of the lock, we're both behind the wire. Our facilities need to start making/remaking, actually habilitating persons. This rather than just making good prisoners should be our goal. everyone should be able to leave and be grateful that they have been able to grow. Justice Justice needs to be done Justice needs to be seen to be done. Otherwise it doesn't exist. Justice is performative. Justice is a verb. Someone has to do it. There is effort involved. 🛑Look what y'all did to a 10-year-old child.🤱🏿 The same people who slaughtered Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island, the same people who soaked the land with the blood of enslaved Black peoples, the same people who destroy everything in their path, the same people who are still soaking the land with the blood of Black peoples even today, you are the same people who arrested and charged a child for 🛑urinating🛑 You have bones of Indigenous children buried in your lawns, yet you can't stand a Black child urinating? I call you demons for want of a better word. "Racist" doesn't even begin to describe the evil that you carry in your bones. And of course you call it "error of judgment" 🤷🏿♀️ What was the other term again, hmmm🤔"clerical error". Oh yes, the good old "CLERICAL ERROR" What well-thought out English words placed side-by-side and used to cover up the evil that you carefully plan and execute again and again. 🛑Human error 🛑investigative error 🛑error of judgment 🛑clerical error Go on folks, name those wonderful words and recite the litany. These terms are part of your strategy so that you can terrorize the lives of Black people with impunity and erase your finger prints from crime scenes. It is quite the irony that you who carry such hate in you, can turn around and attempt to label Black peoples as hateful when you are the demons terrorizing Black peoples and all peoples of color. I hope it comes sooner, but perhaps a hundred years from now, scientists can study your genes and take a careful look at your chromosomes and compare your demon genes with normal people's genes. I do not believe that what we are seeing is without genetic influence from your ancestors. This insatiable craving to feed on the pain of Black peoples is in your DNA. The Tragic Demise of Fred Hampton: Revealing the Shadow of Hegemony In the turbulent era of the late 1960s, the Black Panther Party emerged as a powerful force advocating for civil rights and social justice. One of its charismatic leaders, Fred Hampton, met a tragic end that many argue was orchestrated by hegemonic forces seeking to suppress the movement. Fred Hampton's murder on December 4, 1969, during a raid by the Chicago Police Department, raises unsettling questions about the extent of government interference in grassroots movements challenging the status quo. Hampton, known for his impassioned speeches and community organizing efforts, posed a threat to the established order with his calls for unity and empowerment. Hegemony, in the form of government agencies and powerful interests, viewed the Black Panther Party as a threat to the existing power structure. The COINTELPRO program, designed to infiltrate and dismantle civil rights organizations, played a significant role in undermining the Black Panthers. Through covert operations, disinformation, and manipulation, the government sought to create internal strife within the movement. The false criminalization of the Black Panther Party was a deliberate strategy to discredit and marginalize its leaders. Hampton, just 21 years old at the time of his death, became a target due to his ability to galvanize communities and challenge systemic oppression. The raid that claimed his life was executed under the guise of law enforcement but bore the hallmarks of a political assassination. As we reflect on this dark chapter in history, it is crucial to acknowledge the broader context of systemic racism and the oppressive forces that sought to maintain control. Fred Hampton's legacy lives on, not only as a symbol of resistance but as a stark reminder of the lengths to which hegemonic powers will go to suppress movements for justice and equality. https://lnkd.in/gX9xhbf9
