what is the reason behind the problem of driver retention? Is it the quality of the applicant or the internal HR structure? Is it transparent employment verification or applicant not disclosing previous experience fully? Pretty much all the time it is simply miscommunication or the lack of it. Also, sometimes strung offers at the entry door, do not match internal culture to retain the talents. Let’s scratch the surface. The topic that doesn’t not stop to impress me. My favorite are the companies that are being particularly attentive to how many companies Driver worked during past one, two or three years. While it is important to Spot, if an applicant is just job hopping, we should realize that a lot of drivers are simply victims of the industry nature. Sometimes companies shut down, that will affect drivers employment history. Sometimes company transfer assets onto a different MC, that will affect drivers employment history as well. It also happens during first one – three months of the company, and the driver realize that they are not as good of a match as it should’ve been, then only natural resolve is come back to the office and move separate ways. Without issues without conflict. However, there’s a big black of honest and transparent VOE. Many will not answer on time. Many Will not provide details. Many will not answer at all. Then, looking for a new job the driver is totally under discretion of the next Recruiter, and I always hope it’s me because I will listen. I will ask the questions and I will enough to at least give you a chance to tell me your side of the story. #truckdrivers #cdlajobs #recruiting #recruitingdrivers #logistics #transportation #consulting #businessconsulting #hrproblems #corporateculture

"Truckers and the 10-4: A Lifeline on the Road 🚛 Ever wonder why truck drivers use the phrase '10-4'? It's more than just lingo – it's their lifeline on the open road. 🛣️ '10-4' means 'message received and understood.' But, did you know this term has a fascinating history that dates back to the early days of trucking? Back in the 1940s, when two-way radios were first introduced in truck cabs, there wasn't a standardized way to confirm receipt of a message. Truckers needed a quick and clear response to acknowledge instructions or updates. That's when '10-4' emerged. It was easy to say and understand, even in noisy or challenging conditions. Truckers started using it to confirm messages, and it quickly became a part of their culture. Today, '10-4' is more than just a phrase – it's a symbol of the trucking community's resilience and adaptability. Truckers rely on '10-4' to ensure safety, coordinate logistics, and stay connected during long hauls. It's their way of saying, 'I'm here, I'm aware, and I'm ready.' Next time you see a trucker on the highway, remember the history and importance of '10-4.' It's more than just words – it's a bond that keeps them rolling safely toward their destination. 🌟 Always on the Move! 🚚 A truck driver's life extends far beyond the open roads and the final delivery point. While we often celebrate the triumphs of a successful shipment, today, we invite you behind the scenes — to witness a chapter that's not just about routes and destinations. Behind every delivered package lies a tale spun during long hours on the road and sometimes, moments spent in the queue. Waiting in line to process paperwork is a reality for our drivers. It's a part of the job that consumes time, challenges efficiency, and, at times, sparks frustration among these everyday heroes. Today, we pull back the curtain to reveal not just the victories but the genuine challenges that our drivers navigate daily. Waiting in line is more than a routine; it's a nuanced part of their story — one that involves patience, resilience, and a commitment to the job. 💪 For our Drivers, whose resilience fuel our wheels. #BehindTheWheel #LogisticsReality #LogisticsLife #Transportation

Many times trucking companies fail to properly train drivers, prioritize delivery time over driver safety, and even put drivers behind the wheel who have questionable driving records. When 18-wheelers cause accidents, the company can be held responsible for the injuries that other drivers and their passengers incur from the accident. Find out why semi-trucks and 18-wheelers cause so many accidents. https://lnkd.in/gzcpRtka
