re:think dyslexia would like to acknowledge and celebrate the lands we live and work of the Wurundjeri, Awabakal and Worimi People. We recognise that First Nations peoples are the custodians of these lands and waterways across this country. We respect and honour First Nations Elders past, present, and future, acknowledging their stories, traditions, and living cultures, and are committed to building a brighter future together. It's National Reconciliation Week and this year's theme is Now More Than Ever. It is a reminder to all of us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will —and must —continue. We stand up to defend and uphold the rights of First Nations peoples. To call out racism wherever we encounter it, and to actively reinforce the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across this continent. Now more than ever, we need reconciliation. #nationalreconciliationweek2024

Don’t know what to vote and leaning towards no? I encourage you first to learn more. We need to walk together with First Nations people for a brighter tomorrow. The Voice is both a practical and symbolic reform. Practically, the Voice is informed by decades of research and the experience of people on the ground, that decisions, policies, laws and most importantly outcomes are improved when Indigenous peoples are empowered and involved in the process. Symbolically, the Voice offers Australia a chance to design a more inclusive narrative of nationhood, informed and strengthened by the participation of First Nations people. 27 May - 3 June is National Reconciliation Week, with this year's #NRW2024 theme, Now More Than Ever. This reminds us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will - and must - continue. This is an opportunity for us to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and reflect on the place of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and rights in our nation's story. How will you be contributing to achieving reconciliation in Australia?

This year’s theme Now More Than Ever is a reminder to all of us that, no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will, and must, continue. It’s up to all of us to respect, protect and uphold Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people’s rights, as written in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Now more than ever, we must uphold First Nations people’s enshrined community and individual rights to self-determination. Rights to power and control in decisions that impact Community. Rights to freedom and dignity. Now more than ever, we must protect First Nations children’s right to connect with culture. Because we know that children who are strong in their culture are more likely to develop confidence, emotional resilience, and a positive identity. Now more than ever, we honour and celebrate that Australia is home to the world’s oldest continuous living culture. That despite dispossession, genocide and ongoing discrimination, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples hold rich and enduring connections to Country, culture and community. Now more than ever, reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we build a future that values First Nations people, history, culture.

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. And today as we commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights we recognise that these rights are inherent to everyone, everywhere. Rights that are non-negotiable, universal, indivisible, and inalienable. Let us unite in our shared humanity to honour diversity, and seek justice, freedom, equality and dignity for all. #UDHR75 #HumanRightsDay2023 #HumanRights #EqualityForAll #DignityMatters #EmpowerEquality #WorldVision #WorldVisionAustralia
