"Somebody loves you." It's a powerful message, especially when we're choosing to drive #impaired. Our actions hold immense power, capable of creating ripples that touch lives. Opting not to drive while impaired isn't just about protecting ourselves. It's about protecting everyone around us... the passengers beside us, fellow road users, our loved ones, friends, and even people we interact with in our daily lives. But, if we choose to ignore this, the consequences can be heartbreaking. Putting ourselves behind the wheel while impaired endangers not only our lives but the lives of our passengers and everyone we share the road with. Remember, the ripple effect remains unchanged. However, what we can alter is its outcome. The question then becomes... Make-A-Wish America is a very special organization. It helps kids that have been hit with a life-changing disease. If you are in Cincinnati, you should be proud of what the Cincinnati Bengals did for a child stricken with leukemia. The #CACreativeCorps is such an exciting initiative at the state of CA that centers artists, culture bearers and creative workers to develop media, outreach, and engagement campaigns designed to increase: (1) public health awareness messages to stop the spread of COVID-19; (2) public awareness related to water and energy conservation, climate mitigation, and emergency preparedness, relief, and recovery; (3) civic engagement, including election participation; and (4) social justice and community engagement. 60% of funds must either be granted directly to individuals or used by nonprofit sub-grantees to hire individual artists. California is innovating when we make investments in the people and places that can create change. This was funded in the 2021 state budget with a 1x appropriation of $60 million, the single largest investment to the California Arts Council that is now fully expended.
