Legal and compliance professionals are demand in the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sector, reports Rica Bhattacharyya for The Economic Times, citing data from executive search firm Native. This is due to a need for regulatory adherence, zero tolerance from boards, and evolving governance structure, which has prompted the industry to hire more senior leaders, the report says. Additionally, an aim to hire professionals who would understand the regulations of the Reserve Bank of India, Securities and Exchange Board of India, and Insurance and Regulatory Development Authority has also fuelled this demand, the report further says. Aditya Birla Finance, Hero Fincorp, Kotak General Insurance, Standard Chartered Bank, Nomura, and Jio Financial Services, among others, are some of the companies that have hired recently for such roles, the data shows.
