Greener Australia 🦘 The real estate industry in Australia is recovering from 2023, a period of double inflation (Compared to current 3.4%). Outdated valuations and "work from home" policies had demotivated buyers in the real estate industry. Currently, sellers are offering office space for 15%-25% below the 2023 offering. It is a fact that every week we have more industries joining bankers and lawyers into working 3 to 5 days from the office, with 75% white collar workers permanently back. Heating, ventilation and lighting are more efficient in emitting less CO2 emissions. More landlords have invested in parks, atriums and open spaces, improving air quality. 🌱 Although solutions to decrease CO2 emissions exist, we have to reflect on reality. 80% of the future buildings we will use in 2050 are already built, meaning that the only way forwards is the double "r", now this is not a Spanish lesson, do not worry. I refer to refurbishing and retrofitting.🧱 Okay, we know the strategy needed, we have the solutions and to be honest we even have the funding. Yes, we are aware it is not distributed between all investors and all investors are cautious and selective.🧭 All of these events drive attention to investments that are green and high quality.
