After all, What is the point of working so hard... If it becomes uninteresting to you JUST as things begin to get good? If you truly know your business and its potential... work BACKWARDS. Investment Committee Simulations are one of the highlights of Included VC fellowship, sharing a few learnings I know founders will find interesting to learn for when VC associates are reviewing their pitch decks: - An executive summary slide at the beginning is always useful. - The slides should have at least one thing investors may learn, because it is a signal of potential disruption - When investors look at market size, the main signal is if the market is big enough. - When investors look at competition, the main signal to look for is defensibility. - When investors look at financials, it is preferrable that the startup has at least 18 months runway. I will be sharing a signals checklist in an upcoming post, so founders will have a better idea of what to include in their pitch decks, stay tuned!
