At Rothy's, we champion a world where every girl can embrace a "yes, and" mindset, filled with possibilities and endless opportunities. And in the spirit of giving, we partnered with Project Glimmer—a heartwarming initiative that brings joy and confidence to girls in need during the holiday—to provide and wrap gifts for girls across the country. Happy holidays from everyone at Rothy’s HQ!
Reflecting today on this 5 year old message that remains relevant today: the #DreamGapProject.
Did you know? By the age of five, many girls start to believe they're less capable than boys. This isn't just sad; it's a barrier to their dreams. It breaks my heart to see bright sparks doubt their brilliance because of outdated stereotypes.
The Dream Gap Project is more than just an initiative; it's a beacon of hope. It aims to equip girls with the belief that they can be anything they want to be: filling the gap between dreams and reality for young girls.
Let's roll up our sleeves and contribute to this meaningful cause. Whether it's through mentorship, advocacy, or simply spreading the word, every little action counts. Together, we can ensure every girl knows her potential is limitless.

🐕🦺🌐Today, January 4th, 2024, is #WorldBrailleDay, commemorating Louis Braille, who invented this tactile writing and reading system for the blind in 1824.
#Braille is a system of 6 raised dots arranged in 2 columns of 3 dots each. Each combination of dots represents a letter, a number, or a symbol.Braille has allowed blind people to access reading and writing, and to participate in social and cultural life in a more complete way. It is an essential tool for the inclusion and participation of people with visual impairments.
On World Braille Day, we want to remember the importance of this communication system and the need to ensure that everyone has access to knowledge, regardless of disability.
At Farmigea, we are committed to making our products as accessible as possible to everyone. That's why we include Braille on the boxes of our products, even when it is not required by law.

"Yesterday I was blessed by my mentorship program (and by GOD) with a new (to me) vehicle! While I am immensely grateful for the vehicle itself it is about more then the physical possession. Eventually (a long time from now) the truck will die, but what will remain is what my mentors have embedded in my heart. They have loved me, seen me, heard me. They have gone above and beyond to pour into my life and make me feel safe. Without hesitation, exploitation, or expectation, I have given these two women permission to speak into my life and they do it with compassion, guidance, commitment and love. They are honest and non judgmental. They are kind. In a world that so often still sees me only as an ex-junkie, a felon, or as not enough, these women have believed in me, in my value, my worth, and in my success. So yes, the truck is beautiful. I can get to work and to see my kids/grandkids safely. I am beyond grateful, but I am even more grateful to have such strong Christian women in my corner." - Monica

“Girls resistance—formal and informal, individual and collective, within generations and intergenerationally—cuts across all struggles for justice and freedom. They resist at the intersections of age, gender, land rights, climate justice, LGBTQIA+ rights, anti-war movements and so much more. Girls resist marriage, violence, they fight to stay in school, they push back against how other’s name them, and shame them, and seek to separate them from the platforms and resources that are their right. They fight to take up space, to access space, to re-shape space. Girls resist because to resist is to live, to breathe and to be in the world as a girl.” describe Ramatu Bangura, Jody Myrum and Rosa Bransky in the Forbes article authored by Marianne Schnall to highlight the power and depth of the Stories of Girls Resistance.
Especially in the current moment, we invite you not only to read these stories but also to let them guide you toward courageous and critical action. Girls' resistance and activism are not just needed but essential to transform the world.

With all the heart-wrenching violence, turmoil and so many serious problems we face in the world right now, it felt therapeutic and hopeful to write this inspiring story of a new website and book centering stories of girls’ activism and resistance from across the world - as we look to creating new narratives and highlighting untapped forces to bring about change. The piece features insights and calls to action from the co-creators, Dr. Ramatu Bangura, Rosa Bransky and Jody Myrum.
