Family caregivers often have to perform complicated medical tasks by themselves. Rush's Caring for Caregivers program helps caregivers manage their mental health and other challenges of the role. “Caregiving is often a very physically and emotionally demanding task lasting for many years,” Ellen Carbonell, caregiver programs consultant in the Rush Department of Social Work and Community Health, tells Palliative Care News.
