Do we have too many expectations from leaders? We often view leaders as some kind of superhuman creatures, who are unbreakable pillars of strength. But we tend to forget that beneath the smooth exterior, they are simple beings like everyone else, who have their fair share of personal struggles and self-doubt to grapple with. In fact, expectations to maintain a certain persona can be incredibly challenging for them and might drain them so much that they find it difficult to keep their head above the water. Instead of believing in the grand narrative, if only we establish reasonable expectations and acknowledge that they are vulnerable human beings, we can help leaders reach their potential. #Leadership #Leaders #Stress #ThinkAboutIt

I love this memorandum about leadership. I've seen managers fail misrebly at leadership. I've seen their egos inflated, lead autocratically, employees are unhappy, they loose motivation and the list goes on. Some leaders even go as far to become emotionally abusive towards their subordinates. This is very sad and requires inner reflection and healing of that particular individual. Before you become a leader , you're a person first. As a leader there are certain questions to ask yourself What kind of leader would I like to be? Am I open minded? Do I take credit for other people's hard work? Am I a narcissist? I think the last questions sums up all the other questions that comes along with this pivotal responsibility to help make people and the company grow simultaneously. #leader #leadership #mentalhealth #mindset #teamleader #team #teamwork #LinkedIn #people #culture #peopleskills
