I spent the last couple of days attending the IIEX North America in Austin, TX, and the experience was nothing short of enlightening. Just a few observations that stood out to me. 1. Scale: It's truly impressive how many clients and agencies of all sizes and shapes attended. With nearly 1,000 participants from over 500 companies, this event rivaled only by the annual ESOMAR congress in my experience. 2. Intensity: The conference packed in 16 hours of presentations over 2 days across 4 stages simultaneously. The topics catered to everyone's tastes, featuring case studies co-presented with clients, engaging panel discussions, and more - a truly impressive lineup. 3. Engagement: The atmosphere was refreshingly focused on business, with less small talk and more direct, meaningful conversations. 4. AI (obviously): Nearly half of the companies with stands showcased AI applications in market research or offered AI-powered auxiliary solutions. Witnessing how rapidly AI is being embraced in the US market was truly remarkable. 5. Beauty: Pretty privilege really does exist - having a good-looking person on a stand helps attract visitors. Note for myself - work harder on my appearance :) #IIEXNorthAmerica
