🤔 Reflecting on
"𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗮𝗻"
from Kingsman: The Secret Service.
Picture this:
You're sitting in a dimly lit theater,
eyes glued to the screen as the scene unfolds. 🤩🍿
The adrenaline surges through your veins
& you can't help but be swept away by the intensity of the moment.
Amidst the chaos, those four words stand out like a beacon of clarity,
sparking a revelation within you... ✨
At first glance, the phrase "Manners maketh man" may seem antiquated, confined to the realms of old-fashioned chivalry.
But for me, it's a guiding principle that transcends gender & tradition.
To me, manners are more than just a set of rules to follow;
they're a reflection of our innermost values & beliefs.
They serve as a compass, guiding us towards the best version of ourselves
& fostering meaningful connections with those around us. 🌟
Navigating the murky waters of social interaction isn't always easy.
We're faced with countless choices every day,
each one shaping our identity & impacting those around us.
It's a delicate dance between staying true to ourselves
& adapting to the ever-changing world around us.
So where does that leave us?
🏡 Do we cling to the safety of familiarity
🛫 Or do we take a leap of faith into the unknown?
😎 Or better yet, a leap of trust: In ourselves & in others,
whether they be loved ones or strangers.
It's a question that has no easy answer,
yet it's one that we must grapple with if we're ever to truly grow. 🌱
As the credits roll
& the lights flicker back to life,
I'm left with a renewed sense of purpose. 🔥
Inspired by the words of a fictional spy,
I vow to continue my journey towards becoming
the best version of myself, one act of kindness at a time. 🤗
Now I‘d like to ask you:

The Caribbean has an interesting history, an interesting ongoing story, an interesting people. Consider first, that Islanders Lived there Before The Africans Arrived for Slavery, Consider also that islanders were left Behind after the Abolition of Slavery.
It is also interesting to note that the Caribbean Played a Key Part of The Slave Trade, 1) Global Production Output of Key Resources using Slave Labor 2) The Breaking Ground for the slaves being traded themselves.
Humanity has Grown Closer, Compassion is foundational to our united human moral code. Nations and people rebuild communities, love has transcended race and color, yet I have found 3 things Growing up on the Island
1) The Caribbean must again awake and compete on the Global Stage, claim its global share in International Commerce, and use the plethora of Resources, Knowledge & Skill and couple it with technology to advance. 2) The Caribbean, though the Omega to modern civilization post slavery, seems to be forgotten when real wealth is distributed. 3) The Caribbean people are Resilient and Proud, and will rebuild on their own if they must.
Lyrics;
Dready got a job to do, And he's got to fulfill that mission
To see his hurt is their greatest ambition
But we will survive in this world of competition,
Because no matter what they do
Natty keep on coming through
And no matter what they say
Natty do them every day
Natty Dread rides again
Through the mystics of tomorrow
Natty Dread rides again
Have no fear, have no sorrow

Some great advice from Nick and Ben! Finding something you are passionate about and fully committing to it is so important.
In my experience the more you commit to being an expert in something, the more passionate you become about it.
https://lnkd.in/eRyNMN3y to all those that have asked me what is your response to #BLM and the like, I answer simply if someone comes into your bedroom you don't ask about them you protect yourself. Below is a fascinating video of Dr King please share it's important.
Arthur was my PhD supervisor and I was to lucky to benefit from his brilliance. My thesis was all the better for his challenging questions and the “So what! Why are you telling me this?” written in the margins
Professor of Digital Cultural Heritage at King's College London
It is incredibly sad to lose Arthur Burns.
Arthur was a wonderful person to know. In my 20 years here at King's, he was an ever-present source of decency, kindness, wisdom and support.
