#TBT with Dave Vacanti As I approach my 14th year in the Salesforce ecosystem, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many brilliant minds—excellent developers and engineers. Yet, only a few have genuinely stood out. Titles don’t matter: product engineer, product owner, product manager, CTO, CIO, Senior this and that. Only a few selected individual really have build something that it’s perfectly designed. Great software really shouldn’t require constant enhancements or maintenance. I don’t know if this phenomenon exists in other industries, but have you ever had a technical conversation about an incredibly complex topic that turned out to be one of the most enjoyable discussions you’ve had in a long time? That’s the kind of interaction I’m talking about.

It's all part of the learning process! 🎉 Week 10 Highlights 🐤 Dear LinkedIn community, I'm thrilled to share the exciting developments of Week 10 in my tech transitioning program! This week was all about bringing our team project to its final stages and propelling our solution forward. Together, we meticulously mapped out the user journey, leaving no stone unturned in ensuring a seamless experience for our users. The wireframe was carefully finalized, a pivotal step in turning our vision into reality. Moreover, I delved deeper into the significance of the Product Requirement Document (PRD), an essential aspect of product development. With great attention to detail, we defined clear project goals and objectives, conducted thorough user research, documented user stories, and specified both functional and non-functional requirements. We also incorporated design considerations and diligently reviewed and iterated the entire process to ensure a top-notch product. As a team, we recognized the paramount importance of setting measurable goals, resulting in the identification of three Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for our product. Additionally, I gained valuable insights into Design Handovers in tech teams, learning best practices to facilitate smooth and efficient knowledge transfer. One invaluable lesson that resonated with me was the art of crafting an effective presentation. Remembering Ken Haemer's wise words, "Designing a presentation without an audience in mind is like writing a love letter and addressing it 'to whom it may concern,'" I grasped the significance of understanding my audience and tailoring my message to resonate with them. Striking a balance between my objectives and the audience's needs became the magical slice that enhanced the power of Ethos, Logos, and Pathos in my presentations. The newfound presentation skills I acquired have already made a profound impact, and I'm excited to implement them in future endeavors. Week 11 beckons as a well-deserved recess week before embarking on the final stretch of my tech transitioning journey, culminating in my specialization as a Salesforce Admin. With gratitude and optimism, I look forward to the abundant opportunities that lie ahead.
